I saw the first robin
Of Spring today.
Made me feel
So good.
I've made it through
Another winter.
Suddenly, it all seems –
Better than it should.
Soon the rose bush,
Back behind the house,
Will be totally clad
In its yellow bloom.
It's a sure sign that the cold
Is finally winding down
New beginnings
Will soon be in the womb.
The daffodils, hyacinths and irises
Aren't too far off now.
I wouldn't change this season –
Even if I could.
Yes, I saw a robin today.
Looking for the early worm
Sure sign that Spring is here.
Made me feel so good.
