In a world as complex as ours
I find myself in awe.
All the frustrations that abound.
But there is some solace - I have found.
Seek the simple pleasures.
Watching for falling stars.
Smelling roses in the morning dew.
Watching life begin anew.
Tonight, while I was coming home.
Focused only on the torments of life.
I looked up - and what did I see.
Venus, twinkling back at me.
It gave me a different course.
And eased my mind a bit.
A smile came to my face.
Put my troubles in their place.

PoetryA friend of mine suggested that instead of organizing what I write chronologically that I do so by topic. This book contains short stories and poems written from the garden.
