I woke up to the sound of screaming, I contemplated going to check it out but I figured if everyone was getting murdered, it'd be better to be the last to go,so I stayed put, trying to go back to sleep. Go ahead axe murderer, at least I'd already be dead to the world before I died.

At least I wanted to,if Emmett hadn't bellowed my name above the girlish screaming, I groaned and got up to see what was going on. I stepped out of my room —which was gorgeous by the way with a classy purple theme,it was lovely— to see Emmett dragging Marcus by the leg out of his room screaming with Jessica and Amanda standing behind them shaking their heads.

"Shut the fuck up Marcus." Emmett growled. "You need to get ready for training, I don't want to have a pissed off Dragon Prince trying to flay my ass for coming late."

Marcus giggled at the ending of Emmett's statement making everyone groan while starting to getting ready. Everyone was being relatively normal despite what was going on.

Amanda appeared beside me and said warmly— completely different from the person lobbying for my execution,I guess she likes me now— holding clothes out to me.

"Here you go,we have to get ready dear, there should be a bathroom inside your room."

As I took the clothes and still stood staring at her, she corked her head to the side in question, still smiling warmly at me. I decided to just bite the bullet and ask her.

"Um..." I started hesitantly and she just kept smiling, "Isn't it weird everyone is just acting like this is normal and nothing has changed?"

Her smile stretched even more as her hands curled into fists by her side.

"Do we really look normal to you?" She asked while she looked back at everyone one hustling about with the exception of Arthur who was still nowhere to be seen, I looked back at them more closely and noticed the tension set in their shoulders and face as they continued to joke around with each other and heard how strained their laughter sounded.

"Do we really?" She continued, "We're just trying to cope in our ways after being slapped repeatedly with how useless and weak we are,it's quite damaging." She laughed bitterly "So forgive us if we are trying to cope by being normal, you may not really feel it but we have been with Presh for over hundreds of years, to be deemed unfit for the person who literally saved us from death." The more she spoke, the more her fists tightened until blood dripped from hands. She sighed and walked off.

I turned back into my room and sighed myself,it was getting too much for me. I went to the bathroom and got ready.

The clothes given to me were black training shorts and a black long sleeved shirt with black leggings, I tied my hair up with a rubber on my wrist and headed out.

I went back out to see everyone seated wearing similar clothing, great we'll all look like a bunch of women going to do yoga. Arthur finally emerged with a dark scowl on his face, he looked at us and his face softened,he cracked a small smile and told us to follow him.

We walked down the maze of hallways— thank God I don't have to navigate it alone—until we came across a flight of spiral stairs with a lush blue carpet covering it to beyond where my eyes could see and we descended down to a door.

Arthur opened it and we all followed him,we stepped into the beauty garden that can be seen from our living room and saw Prince Odysseus standing in the middle wearing the same clothes as us. He looked at us with a blank stare, then nodded his head.

"Let's get down to business." Prince Odysseus spoke as we came before him. "Quickly introduce yourself and your species with your powers,we'll start from there."
