Chapter 40

"Hindi ako bibisita," matigas kong sinabi.

He smirked. "Sige, sabi mo e,"

I gave him an annoyed look pero hindi na rin nagsalita. Ayoko nang makipagtalo pa at pakiramdam ko ako lang din ang matatalo sa huli. Bukod sa naisip ko na kanina ang pagbisita sa kaniya, he's really amused seeing me pissed off.

After eating, I volunteered to wash the dishes since siya naman ang nagluto. Pumayag naman siya. Nagsisimula na ako sa paghuhugas ng pinggan nang maramdaman siya sa aking likuran.

I looked back and saw him standing there, his back was leaning on the counter and his arms were crossed. He raised an eyebrow.

"What?" siya pa ang nagtanong.

"What are you doing?" tanong ko pabalik.

He shrugged. "I wanna see if you really know how to wash those,"

I frowned and almost rolled my eyes at him. Sinasabi ko na nga ba. No wonder why he has a mischievous look on his face earlier when I told him that I'll be washing the dishes. Ano bang akala niya sa akin? Porke't mayaman hindi na marunong maghugas ng pinggan? Well, I admit I haven't done this in years but I'm pretty sure I still know how to do it properly.

"Marunong akong maghugas." matapang kong sinabi.

Aedion chuckled then shook his head. "Wala naman akong sinabing hindi ka marunong, Yuri,"

I glared at him, hindi naniniwala. I turned back and continued washing the dishes. Desididong ipakita sa kaniya na marunong ako.

He was quiet the whole time while I was busy washing the dishes. Malapit na akong matapos at ang mga baso na lamang ang natitira. A proud smile painted my lips thinking that I did a good job. See? I can do it!

Akmang lilingunin si Aedion upang ipagmalaki ang nagawa, natigilan ako ng maramdaman siya sa aking likuran. His arms slowly wrapped around my waist and leaned his chin on my left shoulder, hugging me from the back.

"Aedion, naghuhugas pa ako!" reklamo ko.

He tilted his head to look at my face. I shivered feeling his breath on my neck, tickling me a bit.

"You seemed nervous since you came here. Is something wrong?" he asked.

I stiffened. Was I too obvious? I swallowed hard and forced a short laughter, wanting to show him that I'm not nervous like what he is thinking. Kaya lang nanginig ang boses ko.

I bit my lower lips and quickly regret what I did.

Aedion chuckled in my ears. My cheeks heated rapidly. He hummed as if he figured out something.

"Is this because of what happened earlier at the hotel?" he asked with a hint of amusement.

Hindi na yata ako masasanay sa lakas ng loob ng isang ito. Suminghap ako. Hindi ako makapaniwalang nagawa niyang sabihin iyon ng parang wala lang, when he supposed to be the one who's more embarrassed for what happened then!

"I don't know what you're talking about. 'Tsaka bakit naman ako kakabahan dahil doon? It's normal," I managed to say without stuttering, trying to save my face.

"It's normal?"

I gulped and nodded. "O-Oo... I mean, isn't it normal for couples to make out? Kaya bakit naman ako kakabahan dahil doon,"

"Really..."

Hindi tanong iyon pero tumango pa rin ako.

Sandali kaming nabalot ng katahimikan. My heart pounding hard against my ribcage. I shivered as I felt his hand went up from my waist to my neck. Aedion chuckled.
