Belong

I couldn't stop thinking about what happened. A part of me is embarrassed. I can't believe that just because we were alone in a hotel room kung anu-ano na kaagad ang naiisip ko! But there's another part of me that is telling that it's fine. It's normal for couples to make out so I shouldn't be ashamed for what happened.

Besides, I was only thinking of inappropriate things but at least I was strong enough to stop myself from doing those wild ideas. Si Aedion dapat ang nahihiya sa nangyari kasi siya ang unang humalik sa akin. We were just having a normal conversation when he suddenly kissed me. And not just a simple peck on the lips or a playful kiss that he always does whenever he's teasing me. His kiss earlier was deep and rough. It felt urgent. As if he was trying to control himself pero sa huli'y bumigay din.

Isa pa, I don't think I was the only one thinking of inappropriate things. Hindi pa nagtatagal ang halikan namin but he was already turned on. I'm sure he was, I felt it! Kaya kung mayroon dapat nahihiya sa amin, siya iyon at hindi ako.

It was easy to say and to convince myself but now that he is in front of me, halos hindi ko siya makuhang tignan dahil sa sobrang kahihiyan.

Mula sa pagkain na nasa aking harapan, dahan-dahan kong inangat ang tingin kay Aedion. He's acting normal, like what happened earlier didn't bother him even a bit.

Inabot niya ang baso at sumimsim ng tubig. Siguro'y naramdaman ang titig ko, his eyes drifted to me. I quickly averted my eyes. I cleared my throat.

"Tapos ka nang mag-impake?" I asked, trying to open a topic. Pakiramdam ko kasi nahahalata na niyang apektado ako sa nangyari kanina.

"Yeah," tipid niyang sagot.

See, Yuri? He isn't affected because it's normal to make out sometimes! I mentally told myself, pinapakalma ang sarili.

Tumango ako. Nagpumilit akong pumunta ngayon para sana tulungan siya pero mukhang wala na din pala akong maitutulong dahil tapos na siyang mag-impake.

I looked at the few boxes at the floor. He's really leaving tomorrow, huh?

I thought of his new house. Ang sabi niya kay Mama nasa Manila lang din iyon. Is it in a village or he just bought a lot somewhere at doon nagpatayo ng bahay? If it's in a village, saan kaya? May property kami sa iilang village dito sa Manila. Maybe I could visit him sometimes.

"Saan nga pala ang bahay mo? Dito lang din sa Manila, 'di ba?" I asked and turned to him.

Tumaas ang kilay niya. Nilapag niya ang baso sa lamesa. A ghost of smile played on his lips as he looked at me.

"Bakit? Bibisita ka?" he asked with a hint of amusement.

Suminghap ako. Ang yabang talaga. Sinimangutan ko siya. The side of his lips rose, tila nagustuhan pa ang reaksyon ko.

"Hindi, natanong ko lang. Bakit naman ako bibisita?" I said defensively.

He shrugged. "Well, you always come here to visit. Hindi malayong hanggang sa bahay ko ay bibisita ka. You can visit just tell me before you do para makapaghanda ako."

Sandali ko siyang tinitigan, hindi makapaniwala. Ang yabang talaga! He really thinks I'll go all the way to his new house to visit him, huh? I like you Aedion pero kaya ko naman sigurong mabuhay nang hindi ka nakikita kahit isang buwan pa!
