.Four.Years.Later.

I sat on the roof, staring at the sky.

"Four years to the day, baby." I looked down at my wedding ring. "Even if we didn't actually get married, I wanted to wear it." I whispered.

I picked up the chain on my neck that held Remira's wedding band and engagement ring.

"I wear yours too." I sniffed. "I know what you would say. What your probably saying. I need to move on, I need to be happy and live my life." I broke into a sob.

"But how can I be happy and live my life when my life is dead." I stared up at the stars and smiled.

"I kept my promise, princess." I nodded. "Gianna knows exactly who you are. She's almost ten can you believe it?" I laughed.

"She started her period about a month ago. A little early, but now I really wish you were here watching her. Teaching her how to-" I choked. "How to be a strong woman." I broke.

"I don't know how to be a dad." I cried. "Pike is helping me. Since he and Logan got married they have been a huge help but it's not the same." I chuckled.

"Soon I will tell Gia about the mafia. I'll start training her to be better than I ever could he. She will be the best Don the French mafia has ever seen." I smiled. "She will make both of us so proud. To he honest she's the only reason I'm here. If not for the fear of leaving her alone, I would have been gone a long while ago."

I stared down and twisted my ring, then wiped my tears.

"She remembers you. How good you were to her. The naps you two shared. How you did her hair, how you made her food and taught her Spanish." I looked back. "She's only nine and fluent in three languages. Im teaching her best I can but I know you could do it better than me." I smiled.

"I love you, baby." I whispered.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow." I nodded and went back in through the window.

I walked though the house and downstairs into the kitchen where I saw different ingredients and pans everywhere. Gia was standing in the kitchen singing and dancing to paramore. When Remira told me not to forget her, I assumed that meant music as well.

She turned to me and smiled.

"Dad!" She rushed towards me and jumped up. I held her on my hip and she hugged me. "When did you get home?" She asked kissing my cheek.

"Just now." I lied. I don't want her to worry about me.

"Want to help me bake moms favorite? I was going through her stuff like I do sometimes and I found a little book of old recipes. Auntie Logan told me that she and mom used to make them all the time. That they were her favorite." She shrugged.

"Tembleque." Gia smiled.

"You know, that was one of the first things mom ever made for you?" I said.

"Really? And here I thought she just made Dino nuggets." Gia commented and I laughed placing her on the floor.

"I miss her." I said.

"I do too." She smiled up at me and hugged me again.

"As long as we have each other." I started.

"We can rule the world!" She jumped up.

"Exactly." I nodded.

We can rule the world.
