Chapter 21

"How would you do that?" "I am their KING." "KING?!? I expected you to be a stable mucker." "Silence!" "I don't have to listen to you." "If you want your friends to live you will." Suddenly the others were cut off from me and each grabbed by a girl. They held these weird knives to their necks. "Will you let them go if I marry you?" "Don't do it Charlotte!" Aiden called out. "Let them go and I'll marry you." Aiden shouted and flung the girl who was holding him across the room and into a wall. She landed with a thud. The others shifted and started attacking while Amanda, Taylor, Wendy, and Jessica attacked them with fire spells electricity and Wendy grabbed two of their knives and stood in fighting stance. I gave Joel a look. "I would never marry a slug like you." I said and shifted. I growled and snapped my jaws. I lunged but was knocked to the side by a brunnette girl who was freaking out but couldn't control her body. "I'm so sorry." I said mentally to her before snapping her neck. Someone grabbed my tail. I spun around growling to see Blondie standing there with a knife in her hand. "I can't stop." She plunged the knife down but someone jumped in front of me. I leaped up and shifted. I knelt beside Aiden who was lying on the floor bleeding ALOT! I healed the outside but he was pale. Very pale. I splashed his face with water. He woke up just barely. "Don't give up." With that he closed his eyes and died. I howled with rage and sorrow. I took it all out on anyone I could get my hands on. He was dead. Gone. I saw Joel trying to sneek away and leaped over a body and grabbed his neck. "It's all your fault." I snapped it and collapsed on the ground. I saw an... angel? "Your love for Aiden young one has kept him alive. Treasure him always. Your young one did not share his fate. I will personally take care of her." WHAT!! My baby is DEAD?!?! I fainted and woke up to Aiden holding me in his arms. "She's dead." "Who?" "Our baby." We both howled in sorrow and soon the others joined in our song for the now dead. The only one alive was Blondie who was standing there in the blood freaking out. I just ignored her and poured all my rage and sorrow into my howl. When my throat was corse I just collapsed in Aidens arms and cried. Eventually we ended up at home. I just layed on top of my sleeping bag and layed there with my eyes wide open. I probably looked dead. So much pain. Aiden sat there and stroked my hair. The next day we went to school. Monica came over and grabbed my arm. "What's wrong?" "She's gone." "Who?" She asked Aiden. "A close family member." "It's ok. I know what your going through." I looked up at her. "I'm an orphan. I used to have a little sister but she died in the car accident. I think of them everyday." "I'm fine."  I said and straightened up. I'm the alpha I need to be strong. "It's just hard to loose someone you love." "I know." Classes flew by quickly and soon it was lunch. I saw Monica sitting at a table with 4 guys. I walked over my I had a facade up but Aiden told me my eyes gave me away. I sat down and picked at my food. Just then one of the guys I think his name was Mitch, pulled out a newspaper and tossed it to me. I grabbed it. "Look at the front page. The miracle kids are coming to our town. They said they had some friends who were living here. Can't ba any of us though. They were 19." I stood up. "It's us." "What?" "Me and Aiden are married. Taylor and Wendy and Charlie and Jessica are engaged. Fury and Drew are the only 17 yearolds. The rest of us are 19 18 or 16. I gotta go." I got up and practicly raced to the door. But the jocks stopped us. "What do you want?" "What did you do to Jade?" One of them snarled at me. "Do you really want to know?" Screw keeping a low profile. He nodded and looked at me expectantly. I shifted. "May we go now?" Aiden asked. The guy just stood their. The rest of us shifted and Jessica hopped on Charlie. Amanda got on me. Wendy rode Drew and Taylor rode Aiden. We ran off into the woods and went to the redwood forest where the trees are hundreds of feet tall. I looked up and howled shortly. The flock started dropping out of the trees with their wings slightly out. They landed silently. "Sorry we don't have a bird bath." I said when I saw their dirty clothes. "Its good to see you." I said and hugged them all. When I got to Fang I just held out my hand and he shook it. "I had enough trouble with Iggy. Due to Aiden. Plus Max wouldn't enjoy it either." I muttered into his ear. "I did not!" Aiden said. "Ya kinda did." Chimed in Iggy. Gazzy imitated the slight growl that had burst from Aiden when I hugged Iggy.  I walked over and hugged Aiden. 'I love you and only you.' I was staring into Aiden's eyes when Max cleared her throat. I broke my gaze and turned to look at her. "Sorry." "No need to apologise for making googoo eyes while we're all watching." "Why are you here?" "We need your help. Itec are planning something and we need somewhere to hang." "You can stay with us. Lets get you cleaned up. I gathered some water and doused them. They stood there for a second before laughing. I smiled weakly. I had just thought of how the baby would have been twirling through my stomach. 'What's wrong Charlotte?' Angel asked mentally 'Oh Nothing.' A few seconds later she gasped and stared at me. "I'm so sorry." I just leaned into Aiden who appeared almost out of nowhere at my side. "What are you talking about?" Max asked. I told them the whole story. Afterwards we headed to the campsite. Max and the flock flew while the rest of us ran or teleported in Wendy's case. She took Taylor, Amanda, and Jessica with her and teleported into the camp. When we arrived they were making a fire. Amanda wouldn't let Jessica do it because she wanted to find a spell that would. She found one and snapped her fingers while saying Fiyre. {Fie- ree} The logs lit on fire and we all sat around it. Eventually we broke out with hotdogs and each of us ate nearly a whole package. We skipped lunch and need alot of food. When we finished we talked and found out what had happened since we split up. "I can't believe you left her Fang." Fury said and smacked him across the back of the head. I laughed with Max but Angel stopped us. "Some one's coming." I sniffed and blinked in surprise it was Monica and her group. I stood up come out of the bushes." They stumbled one by one out of the bushes that lined half of our camping area. "You really do know them." Mitch said with wide eyes. "Yes we know them. We met about 6 or 7 months ago." "Wow." "Rumors are going all around school that you tried to maul Jonas." Monica told me "I snapped at him. If I wanted I could have killed him. Easily. Any of us could. Even Angel over there." She looked surprised. "Have you ever killed anyone before?" She asked. I thought of yesterday. I wasn't going to lie. "Yes. To save my life and the lives of my pack." "Your alpha?" Mitch asked. "Alot of girls are alpha's." "Than most books lie. They say alpha's are only male or just have never been female." "We're not animals. We are guys and girls still." Fury said. "Sorry." I swear I heard him say your highness. I laughed quietly and he looked at me. "You really do have superhearing. How much did they get right?" "We turn into full wolves, vampire wolfs are the ones that half shift, we don't change on the full moon, the halflings do but not us. Most people who see werewolves are actually seeing halflings. The closest they come to our true nature is probably Twilight. The whole we can't cross the alpha, the alpha power thing and the whole mind link thing are true." "Awesome!" "Actually its not when you can hear Charlotte's dreams. Most of them are about Aiden." I smacked him upside the head. "What about the whole imprinting thing?" "We don't imprint. We have mates. the whole electricity thing and the part where you can't think of anyone else." "You and Aiden really are married aren't you?" Monica asked. "You told her?" "It slipped out of my mouth. Why would it matter to you anyways?" "I'm your little sister. It would look weird if they knew you were married but thought you were 17." "Whatever." "So you really are?" I nodded. "Do you have proof?" asked a boy who hadn't been there at lunch. There was Mitch, Ethan, Nathan and Liam. But this guy didn't fit. "Oh shut up Mathew." "Yeah." I got up and walked over to my school bag. "Reveal." A pouch showed up on the front. I opened it and pulled out our marrige liscence. I showed it to him. "I believe you." I shrugged and put it back into the pouch. "Hide." I walked away from the bag and back over to the fire. "Do you have any other powers?" "Water." "Awesome! Your an elemental?" "Taylor, Me, Charlie, Fury, Drew, and Jessica are all elementals. I also have telekinesis." "Cool." I nodded. "You guys can all come to my house. My parents would love to have more kids in the house." "Are you sure it's big enough for all of us?" "Posotive." "Ok." I told everyone to grab their stuff and we all grabbed our bags and tooks the tents down. We put everything in the back of our truck which Monica had driven from the school for us. We started driving through a rich neighborhood. "Are you sure we're going the right direction?" I asked Charlie. "I'm just following Monica." What really surprised me is when we drove up to a mansion about three times the size of Nicks. Our jaws all hit the floor. Monica had some explaining to do.
