Nova's POV:
Weeks had gone by and I've had less and less energy to 'cause trouble' as I've been told.

It has been weeks since Dyn and Aldeena has been transferred over to the death star. Or so we were told.

I guess part of me missed having my own little group. In a way it kind of reminded me of the old days where I had my own gang running the bar. They were like a family to me.

Now it was just me Kaden and Leo. Still a family in a way, but just... smaller. Those two were already accustomed to my antics so it was never really anything new with them.

"Whats Nova doing today?" Kaden raised an eyebrow and looked in my direction.

I shrugged. Nothing even remotely fun came into my mind. Part of me missed my two other friends, while part of met mind still stayed on the thought of Darth Vader. I haven't seen him in weeks since I haven't been creating problems for the stormtroopers.

The stormtroopers had referred to me as a trigger happy child behind my back and were a bit confused when they saw I had not done anything stupid lately.

I guess the reality of where I really am now had set in. At this point I was convinced I was a tool for the empire since I haven't been killed yet. The other day, a man was shot down by stormtroopers for attempting to steal extra food.

I had done much worse and the worst I've experienced was Vader's force chokehold.

I may have been keeping a low profile but other cliques still feared me. I guess I had done a good job of instilling fear in those around me so I'd be untouchable. After the old man Scotty incident no group or gang dared mess with me.

Days went by as a blur. Everyday was the same. Wake up, work, meal break, work some more, evening meal break, some free time, and then sleep. Then the day restarted.

The reality of it had caught up with me and I dreaded waking up each morning to the same endless cycle.

Less and less mop bucket spills were reported and there were no more dents in the wall from my reckless mop bucket 'driving' if you could even call it that.

"I guess we broke her spirit" i overheard a stormtrooper say to another.

"Oh well. Makes our jobs easier. No longer having to focus on babysitting a trigger happy honocidal child" responded the other.

Well that's a new one I haven't heard before.

"Did you not hear what he said?" Whispered Leo.

"Why does it matter? Besides you used to look down upon the shit I'd do and now you're enabling me? Make up your mind Leo" I whispered back.

"You're just... so different now" he responded.

"What Leo means is that you've become boring and depressing" Kaden added. "Gonna be honest with you, we both miss when you'd make this boring shit more fun. From mop bucket racing to messing with the stormtroopers you truly made each day in here more bearable"

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows at them both. "You guys actually enjoyed my risky stupid shit?"

They both had nodded. I wrapped them both in a big hug.

"How about it?" Leo pointed to the mop bucket and smiled. "A ride in the bucket for old times sake"

"Wow Leo out of all people" I let out a small laugh. "Okay fine"

Leo and Kaden had smiled from ear to ear as I had climbed into the cold wet mop bucket and got launched down the hallway.

Maybe this was just what I needed to feel more alive
