5- Friends in Strange Places

Nova's POV:
The girl who cried in the corner of the storage closet now looked at me.

"Parlor trick?" She questioned.

I nodded. She took out a few pebbles from her pocket.

"Show me." She said.

I raised an eyebrow.

"I said show me" she said, firmly.

I shrugged. Focusing on the force, i was able to make the pebbles levitate and even started rotating them.

Her eyes went wide.

"You're a Jedi!" She responded.

"I'm sorry what?" I almost laughed at her response. "I'm not Jedi this is just a parlor trick!" I laughed it off.

"Either way you have a connection to the force" she responded. "It's hard to find someone who still is force sensitive"

Well this was news to me.

The ship must've taken a sharp turn because we all slammed into the left wall.

"They really could've invested in seatbelts" I joked and rolled my eyes.

"Yes Nova because they're taking suggestions right now for how to improve our taxi ride to hell!" Said Leo with sarcasm in his tone.

I couldn't help it. Even in a time like this. I laughed at his comment which softened his gaze. Next thing you know, Kaden started laughing, and the girl from the corner joined in. Even Leo let himself laugh at his own joke.

"Hey girl from the corner" I turned to her.

"Yea?" She responded.

"Whats your name?" I asked.

"Aldeena" she responded. "Am I seriously the girl who cried in the corner to you guys?" Leo, Kaden, the other guy from the bar and me avoided her gaze and nodded.

"Geez i guess that's gonna stick for a while" she rolled her eyes.

I turned to the other guy from the bar

"What's your name buddy? Since we're all stuck here we may as well get to know each other's names for when we plan funerals" I asked.

The guy gave me a shocked look.

"Well that's kinda dark, don't you think? And the names Dyn" he shrugged it off. Both sides of his head were shaved and he left a little man bun on top. His hair was a ginger color.

Being held in captivity forced me to find something to do with my time. I couldn't sit here and be bored the whole time. So I decided to take notes mentally on what everyone looked like.

Leo was the first one my gaze had landed on. He had messy brown hair and the palest complexion known to man. It looked like someone had sprinkled a few freckles on his cheeks and had given up on the rest of his face.

Kaden had jet black hair that was slicked back and almond shaped eyes.

Dyn the ginger haired man had an earring in his left ear but not the other.

Aldeena had pale blonde hair and eyes the color of milk chocolate.

And if this was show and tell I would share mine next. I wasn't much anything special, I just had hazel eyes like every second person on tatouine. My hair was the question however. It was a dark and vibrant cherry red. In a way it had an unnatural look to it, but my hair had never been any other color in my life. It grew in like that. It stayed like that. It got cut off like that.

I glanced over at the other people from different parts of tatouine but wasn't able to get a good enough look at them to analyze them.

"You done staring?" Asked Leo, bringing me back to reality.

"Sorry I guess I zoned out" I responded.

"I don't mind a girl checking me out" Aldeena said and winked at me.

"Okay woah woah woah I wasn't checking anyone out I was just zoning out!" I yelled.

The four of them froze for a moment until Kaden decided to break the ice

"So uh how about we play a game?" He suggested.

I narrowed my eyes and smirked.

"Kaden why on earth would you even suggest that?!" Shouted Leo. He knew EXACTLY what I was going to suggest. In a moment, Kaden came to the exact same realization. Dyn and Aldeena gave us confused looks.

"You two are gonna love this one" I joked as both Leo and Kaden rolled their eyes. "Okay friends it's time to play fuck marry kill!"

Leo and Kaden groaned in a synchronized manner.

I turned to the other two.

"Yall familiar with this game?" I asked. Dyn nodded but Aldeena seemed confused

"Basically someone will give you 3 names of people and you have to decide if youd fuck marry or kill them" I explained to her as she nodded.

"I dont actually have to do any of these things right ?" She asked.

"No haha its just a game" I joked.

I turned to the group and gave them a sly smile

"Now we begin"
