"Walang matutulog. Sino may sabing matutulog tayo?"
Bumuntong-hininga ako nang marinig iyon mula kay Jade. Naka-uwi na kami at matutulog na sana ako nang sabihin niya 'yon. Some of us were already halfway through the stairs but stopped because of her.
"Go wash up. Balik kayo dito sa baba pagkatapos," saad muli nito.
My eyes were half-closed as I walked upstairs. Pinilit ko nalang ang sarili kong maghugas ng mukha at magpalit ng damit kahit gusto na talagang sumuko ng katawan ko. I was really tired.
Pagkaupo ko sa sofa sa baba, kaagad akong tinabihan ni Caden. "Are you okay?"
I rested my head on his shoulder. "I'm sleepy."
He stroked my hair as I watched Irene and Jade arrange some things on the table. Nag-aayos sila ng kung ano-ano roon habang may inaabala naman ang mga lalaki at si Yasmine sa kitchen. Kami lang ni Caden ang walang ginagawa. Naka-upo lang kaming dalawa sa sofa habang busy 'yung mga kaibigan namin.
Bakit ba kasi may pa-uso nanaman 'tong mga 'to? Inaantok na 'ko, e!
Hindi nagtagal ay natapos rin sila. Yasmine and the guys came back from the kitchen, bringing all kinds of snacks. There were salads, chips, biscuits, fries, and a lot more. They also brought beverages like water and soft drinks. Himala, walang alak.
Natapos na rin mag-ayos sina Jade at sinabihan kaming umupo paikot sa table. There were a lot of cards on the side and there was also a bottle in the middle. Ano 'to? Spin the bottle?
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I am your host for today," Jade started. "Tonight, we will be playing truth, dare, or eat."
Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. "Ano nanaman bang pa-uso 'yan?"
"Simple lang naman. Truth or dare lang pero kapag hindi niyo nasagot, kakain kayo nitong spicy noodles," she explained.
"Isn't it supposed to be Truth or Drink? The one where you drink if you can't answer the question," saad noong Ian 'ata ang pangalan.
"We did plan that but it's holy week. It's kind of disrespectful to drink," Irene answered. Tumango-tango naman kami. May point.
"Okay, tara na't magpakabaliw," pag-aaya ni Jade. She spun the bottle and started the game. The bottle ended up on Yasmine and Aedan.
"Yasmine, ikaw magtatanong kasi sa 'yo nakaturo 'yung dulo ng bote," turo ni Irene.
Yasmine nodded and thought for a while. "Do you have anyone in your heart right now?"
Ian scoffed, "Bro, sino sa kanila? Madami-dami 'yon."
Siniko ni Aedan si Ian at binigyan ito ng masamang tingin bago ngumiti kay Yasmine. "I do."
I saw how Caden's eyebrows raised and how the others gave teasing chuckles. Tumikhim si Irene bigla at sinabing, "Tara na, next na."
