"Kamusta ka?" tanong ni Caden kinabukasan.
It was now a Sunday afternoon and he picked me up at the boarding house hours ago. He said today was a date so I dressed up pretty nicely. I was wearing an off-shoulder, white dress with white heels and a black bag, which actually showed my features and body perfectly. My hair was in a bun, showing my neck and shoulders. Ang ganda ko!
On the other hand, Caden was wearing a simple, white shirt partnered with black pants. Our outfits were matching even though we didn't talk anything about it! Destined nga naman talaga.
"Okay lang," I nodded. "Hindi na masakit ulo ko. You?"
He grinned, "I didn't drink."
"Ay, oo nga pala. Pasok na ba tayo sa sasakyan mo? Kanina ka pa nakatitig sa 'kin, e. Tirik na tirik kaya 'yung araw. Hindi ka ba naiinitan?"
He blinked a couple of times, "Uh, yeah, sorry. Tara na."
I chuckled at his actions as he opened the door for me. Sumakay na kami sa sasakyan niya at hindi ko napigilang asarin siya. "Titig na titig ka, ah? Nagagandahan ka nanaman sa 'kin."
"Oo."
Hindi na 'ko nagulat sa biglaang banat niya dahil habang lumilipas ang panahon, napagtanto kong natututo na siya sa mga banat ko at hindi naman pala boring kasama. At first, I really thought he was the cold type of person but as I get to know him, he's the complete opposite, or rather, he's starting to open up himself to me and get comfortable.
Habang nagmamaneho ay nagpatugtog nalang ako ng kung ano-anong kanta at pinuri niya naman ito. I found out that we were both big fans of LANY and we actually had his song "ILYSB" as our favorites.
"Oh, I forgot to thank you for what you did yesterday. Thank you for taking care of me, ha? Alam kong magulo at makulit ako 'pag lasing, so thank you for keeping up with my bullshit that night," I said as his eyes were focused on the road.
I saw how his dimples deepened as he said, "It's okay. I love taking care of you."
"I love you, too," malanding tugon ko.
He just laughed at my flirty advances as he continued driving. Nasanay na din kasi kaming dalawa sa biglaang mga ganoon. Nag-usap lang kami pero nananahimik rin ako minsan dahil ayokong ma-distract siya habang nagmamaneho. Either way, I was comfortable with him.
After about 30 minutes, we finally arrived at where he planned for us to go. I looked around the place and only then realized it was SM Aura. It was one of the places I never bothered to go to since usually, rich people shop and eat here. Ang mamahal kasi ng mga damit tapos 'yung mga kainan, mamahalin pa. Ewan ko ba, ang classy lang talaga tignan.
Thankfully, I was wearing the right clothes kaya kahit papaano, nagmukha akong nag-belong sa mundo ng mga mayayaman. Mukha tuloy kaming simple at lowkey na couple ni Caden.
"Do you wanna eat first? Nag-lunch ka na ba?" tanong nito sa akin nang makapasok kami sa loob ng mall.
