"Bakit basang-basa ka?" tanong ni Aedan.

Nang matapos magpalusong ni Caden sa dagat, hindi kaagad kami bumalik sa mga kaibigan namin. We talked for a while and even got shy with each other after realizing we were finally official. Pareho kaming nahirapang mapagtanto na kami na. I don't know if it was the thrill or the embarrassment, honestly.

We just then decided to go back to our friends when he felt the cold breeze. Pagbalik namin doon, kompleto na sila at dumating na rin ang pagkain pero wala pang kumakain sa kanila. They said Irene told them it was basic etiquette to wait for everyone before eating.

Hindi sinagot ni Caden ang tanong ni Aedan at ngitian lang ito bago tumingin sa akin. I looked at him and asked, "Nasaan towel mo?"

"Nasa bag ko. Sa likod, siops," sagot niya habang pinapatuyo ang kanyang buhok gamit ang kamay nito.

I rummaged his bag which was placed on his chair. I looked for his towel and took it out for him to dry his hair. I stood up and dried his hair myself then wrapped the towel around him.

He smiled at me sweetly.

"Lalandi. Bakit ba natin sila hinintay?" Jade rolled her eyes.

"Kumain na nga tayo. Sinasampal lang ng dalawang 'to sa mukha natin na mag-bebe sila kahit wala pang label," ani Irene.

I chuckled at that and whispered to Caden, "I'll tell them after eating. Stay low muna, okay?"

"Okay."

I sat beside him after that as we all started eating. Between Irene, Jade, Yasmine, and I, we all have followed the etiquette of not using our phones when eating. Irene started it all and she said eating should be a time for the ones you're eating with, not your phone.

Kaya nagulat nalang ako nang sundin din nila Caden iyon. Ang alam ko kasi, mahilig gumamit ng cellphone si Aedan tuwing kumakain kaya akala ko'y ganoon rin sina Caden.

"You don't use your phones while eating?" I asked my boyfriend.

He swallowed before answering, "Irene forbids us from doing so."

"Same."

From time to time, while eating, we would sometimes chitchat but no loud laughs whatsoever. For Irene, she valued etiquette and being proper the most so I guess as her friend, you'll eventually get influenced.

Nang makitang halos lahat sila'y tapos nang kumain, bumulong ako kay Caden. "I'll tell them now. Okay lang?"

He smiled and nodded his head.

"May sasabihin ako," paninimula ko.

Sabay-sabay silang tumingin sa akin. The ones eating and those who were done all had their eyes on me. Hindi ko alam bakit pero parang bigla akong kinabahan dahil sa mga titig nila. Nakakapressure kaya!
