We stayed up majority of the night with calling the police and giving statements including James
My Dad now knows about James and isn't best pleased but he can see the happiness James brings me

We all agreed to stay at mine instead of going to school while these investigations were going on
James and my Dad were getting along just like they used too

To distract ourselves we all agreed to do some cake baking and decorating to see who is the best
It'll obviously be me who wins since I've got the most patience and knowledge but the boys disagree with that

What James doesn't know is I used to work for a bakery and I was the one to decorate majority of the cakes made so I picked up a thing or two
My Dads cake looked quite decent, he kept his simple with white frosting and some delicate piping

James on the other hand was struggling with his, he tried to do the most extravagant cake I've ever seen but clearly hasn't done well with it
The frosting is melting off the cake and the face on the top of it looked slightly more demonic then what he was planning on

"Okay how is yours so good" James sighs pointing at mine making dad and I laugh "What you didn't know is that I used to work in a bakery and I was pretty good at it" I laugh while admiring my work

I had made some cupcakes with pink and white frosting with some pink sprinkles and some coated with coconut
Simple and delicate designs were always my strong point and it's very clear they still are

A knock at our front door cuts our conversation short and brings us all back to reality, we already knew who was behind that door

James and I went to go sit in the front room while my Dad greeted the police officer "We have some good news" Officer Frank said taking a seat in our armchair
"The neighbours across the seat have CCTV and have given us evidence that 3 people had broken in last night, I have it here if you guys want to see it" He continues

"Yes please" I quietly say as we all get closer to watch this video, the whole break in lasts about 15 minutes and once they leave one takes their mask off
Unfortunately there is no sound otherwise we'd be able to find out who it was based on their voice

The officer zooms in and clears up the picture of the person who had taken their mask off and it's a face I'm all too familiar with
I gasp and cover my mouth "Maisie" I sigh

I guess Maisie wasn't actually a good friend towards me at all.. who have I been hanging around with

I tell the officer everything and I told him I had a feeling the other 2 people there were Beth and Amanda
They're the only people who have something against James and I considering that was all that was broken

After explaining everything to the police I handed over my phone so he could do a routine check of all of our conversations together
I just wish I knew why Maisie of all people would do this to me
I mean there isn't a plausible reason at all

The police officer handed back my phone and thanked me for my time and information and how he's going to go straight over to Maisie's house first since she was definitely one of the girls there

All day my phone had been going off with messages from people hoping everything was okay
Maisie Amanda and Beth were all messaging me too asking about what had happened and wanting to know about all the details of the case

It was quite clear why they were bombarding me with all of those questions and I'm glad I never responded otherwise they'd probably get rid of potential evidence
