(oc) was in a relationship with (character), but wasn't particularly the happiest with it. perhaps it was because of how the other treated them, or maybe it was because (oc) was just not really interested into them.

either way, it was causing a lot of stress onto (oc) regardless. they went to their best friend, (crush), and confided everything to them.
after their talk, (crush) goes over to (character)'s place to confront them about the relationship- as (oc)'s best friend [and potential lover], (crush) starts mocking (character) about the relationship.
