btw, origins more or less work similarly to elements, but in a broader way.

overall:
certain people in ninjago are born with different origins than most of the population.

most people, are humans, and that's that.

others, however, are born as something entirely.

different people, with different origins, like blazeborn, merling, avian, arachnid, phantoms, and so many more, are usually known as their own species.

(oc) and the rest of the [faction of choice] were known as the ones with different origins.

scenario one:
the same events of the show happen, but just with origins instead of elemental powers. sort of a free-for-all.. just please keep it somewhat canon as this just the show. (does that make sense? god i hope)

scenario two:
(oc) and (crush) end up meeting despite having two completely different origins. simple as that, really ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

scenario three:
make up your own. i genuinely don't really care as long as it follows the rules, lmao

different origins as an example (some things don't apply here bc of ninjago logic, but the gist is the same):

characters' origins:

- kai : blazeborn (duh)

- nya : merling (also duh)

- cole : shulk / phantom (after he gets turned into a ghost) ; or golem / phantom

- jay : avian / parrot

- zane : either golem or turtian. could also be a robot (which isn't in here but eh)

- lloyd : starborne or maybe voidkin, dragonborn, or withered

- morro (for those who have him as a crush) : either phantom or undead tbh

- venom : slime
