I haven't seen Astrid in four months. Sure, four months isn't too much time but it felt like it was for me. I still remember the night she told me to leave and when she said she didn't want to see me again. Another memory is engraved in my memory, when I had said to her, "I'll never stop loving you. No matter what happens I'll find my way back to you." I had tucked a piece of her soft silky hair and had said, "You'll find your way back to me. I promise you." I can still feel the feeling of her lips pressed against my own. The things I would give to see her again.. to be able to look into her beautiful eyes and see her wide smile and the adorable dimples of her cheeks when she smiles. Astrid has those warm dark blue eyes- the kind any guy could get lost in. She reminded me of the ocean, those deep blue eyes you just fall into. Astrid is a ocean's wave and I am the current. Together, we crash. She may not know it, but I'd do anything for her. I'm in love with her. I've only known her for about a year though I am deeply in love with her. I've never felt the feeling I have with her with no one else. Even when she irritates me, I can never stay angry at her. My thoughts of her are disturbed as someone knocks upon my door. I rise from my bed, "Who is it?" A masculine voice replies, "Soldier Cohen." I nod, "Come in." The soldier enters the room and approaches me, a envelope in hand. I almost laugh. I already know it's from the Other Side. They always send envelopes. They mustn't not be fans of personal meetings. He gives the envelope to me, "From the King and Queen of the Other Side." I nod again, "Thanks, Soldier." I tilt my head towards my door, "You may leave." The soldier exits. As soon as I hear the door shut, I collapse back onto my bed and open the envelope. The note reads:

Dear Son of King Darius, Prince Atlas.
This is your invitation to appear at Ravenbane's Ball coming up soon. It will be located at Queen Freya's castle and her daughter whom I've heard you already know, Princess Astrid will be present as well. We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely, King Alaric of Ravenbane.

I grin. YES. This is my chance to see Astrid again. I let the realization kick in. I'm going to see Astrid again. I don't give two cents what my father thinks. My mother used to tell me, "Risk everything for love." And I will. I'll risk it all to be with Astrid. Nothing will ever hurt her. I won't let nothing or no one harm her. Not even my father. Honestly, If it was her being safe over my whole kingdom I would gladly watch the whole kingdom go up in flames if it meant she would be safe. I won't let nothing hurt her. If hiding my feelings for her at the ball will keep her safe then so be it. If acting as if I am her enemy keeps her safe then so be it. She will be safe. I will protect her with my life and whoever thinks they could stop me can gladly go to hell.
