Midtown HS, Lunch
Delilah's POV

"Rosie, what's been going on with you? You fell asleep in all of your classes and you look like you're about to drop of hunger." Ned scorns

"I'm fine." I grumble as I hide my face in my arms that are clothed by my father's hoodie

"Delilah.." Peter warns

"Yes, Jammie?" I sigh

"Please tell us. We won't tell anyone if you don't want us to, you don't even have to tell us, we just think you might feel better if you tell somebody."

I look up from covering my face, allowing Ned and Peter to see my dry and irritated eyes that feel raw from my breakdown this morning.

"Pa went missing on his trip. He was with his team and the audio of his communicator got cut off and we haven't heard back from him-let alone any of them since. I know to believe he'll come back, but the amount of time that he's been gone just keeps getting longer." I confess

"Aren't military members deployed for long amounts of time usually?"

"Yes, but he was on a.." I lead as I try to think of a word

"Mission?" Ned asks

"Yeah, but he was supposed to be back by now." I nod

"How long has he been gone without any contact?"

"A month? Four weeks or so."

"Oh, i'm sorry." he apologizes

"I'm not gonna let you blame it on yourself." I mention as I try to get myself sit up

"Well, at least let us try to cheer you up."

"And how do you plan on attempting to do that?"

We sit there for a few minutes, the two boys with plotting expressions on their faces while I try to unravel what they could possibly be thinking about.

"Do you have any dresses you don't wear often?" Peter asks

"Quite a few actually, why?"

I'm genuinely curious.

"I have a friend who I think wants to cheer you up too, help with the process." he nods

"Okay well, i'll bring you a few to school tomorrow." I nod slowly

"Perfect." he smiles kindly

Even Pietro couldn't have seen this coming.

Two Days Later-Midtown HS- Sarah's POV

I walk into school in my devolving wardrobe of choice, a hoodie of Pa's with my leggings with one of Uncle James' shirts. I make my way to my locker to look up from my keys as I fumble them, only to see Peter dramatically leaning against my locker with his left hand while wearing the dress I handed to him yesterday.
