Chapter 14; All I want

Macei immediately turned off her phone. The ambience changed into a sad one. She ran in tears to her room. Qualo and her mum ran after her and knocked at her door. "Macei!" they screamed her name. Macei was in tears. She felt robbed of her glory.

Macei fans began their job by commenting, reposting and posting on social media about how they deprived macei of a remix with Roxie when she definitely deserved it.
They did not spare Roxie on the internet that night. They entered her DMS with their hurtful opinions, but she didn't respond, as they were many. She posted in her story, "I love macei. She's a talented kid but I'm forever indebted to qua and tee tee"
Macei cried so hard, her mind was occupied with thoughts. She couldn't even hear qua and her mum knocking on her door.

"Poor macei robbed off everything she ever worked, a collab with Roxie would have changed your entire career. I'll be mad if I'm you "The devil within her said. She tried to climb onto her bed but fell down flat, all she could hear was"Poor macei, I'm disappointed in you"
She fell back against the wall and closed her ears and cried, even more, all she could think of was mixed emotions of self-pity and disappointment.
"Macei!!"Qua cried out even more.

12:00 AM

Macei woke up from sleep on the floor and slowly opened her door, she walked towards the fridge to get a glass of water, she had already felt dizzy from so much crying. Immediately she turned she met qua starring at her"Hey" Qua said walking towards her and opening the fridge as well.

"Heyy"macei muttered. Qua tried to speak but macei stopped her right there and said"Don't think I'm mad at you"
This reply made qua feel surprised at the same time scared. macei smiled and placed her hand on her shoulder"Why would I be mad if my Lil sis is doing great, I love you qua lo"
Qua beamed with joy and hugged her tight"I thought you would act petty and then hate me, I'm sorry about what Roxie did. I didn't want that to happen"She cried on her shoulders.
Macei patted her and replied"Some things are just meant to happen"

They chatted and played while watching the movie Bones all morning till they got ready for school,macei didn't feel her best but she made sure to be happy for qua.
In class, she sat looking directly at the board as she could hear kids whispering about how she lost her deal with Roxie.

Isaiah sat next to her to ask how she was doing"Before you say anything, I'm fine" she said to him still looking straight at the board. He was shocked, she turned to him"Why does everyone think I'll overreact?" she smiled.
"I'm happy you're cool macei because I know the kind of person you are" he scoffed.
"What do you mean by that?" she asked.
Suddenly tiarra walked in, the whole class stared at her but macei. Tiarra casually walked towards macei and Isaiah and said"Hey guys"
Everyone  looked at macei to see her reply, she stood and hugged tiarra "I'm super proud of you and qua, you make me proud"

Everyone didn't expect that, they focused on what they were doing."Just so you know, you're the coolest kid I know and I'm happy you made me a part of the HHGs, you gave me a fan base and now I'm doing my own thing, I look up to you macei"Tiarra said.
Macei nodded and sat down, everything looked peaceful and they all went along well.

Social media thought macei and tiarra would beef but instead, they made tiktoks and posted to let everyone know that they were all cool.

"She's my sister," Tiarra said
"You mess with her, you mess with me" Macei added.
"You mess with both of us, you better run..."Tiarra said again.
"...And pray"Macei concluded.

The following week, qua and tiarra were meant to travel to California, they were escorted by their families to the airport.
"I'm leaving you with tee tee's mum okay, I'm super proud of you," Qua's mom said. Qua, however, wasn't buying the pep talk, she told her mum straight up"You're only proud of me because I'm doing my own thing now! so you never cared for me. Always comparing me to macei and mykel, what kind of mom does that?!"
Her mom was left speechless, qua left her on the spot and went to meet the others.

"Wait up!"Isaiah walked up to tiarra. Paris also followed him holding a big teddy bear with a pink bow,tiarra turned and smiled at them
"Why are you running?"Isaiah said. He looked at Paris, she nodded and gave him the teddy. He handed it to tiarra, she looked confused and asked"What's this?"
"Push the chest "he replied. She was reluctant but Isaiah and Paris glanced at each other, she pushed it and the teddy made a sound in Isaiah's voice saying"I love you tee tee"

She gushed and opened her mouth wide, she looked at him with tears in her eyes, she went in for a hug"I love you too Isaiah"They both started crying.
"I'm super proud of who you're becoming," he said. The hug lasted for a while"Aww, bring it in"Paris joined them. 

Tiarra felt reluctant to leave, she was too emotional. Looking back at them made her want to run back. Her mom pulled her inside the plane, if not she'll stand and wave forever.

"It's just 3 weeks, chill"Qua patted her.

She kept on pushing teddy continuously in the plane and she would reply"I love you too Isaiah"
