"Nervous?"

I just stare at him.
WTF am I supposed to say in a situation like this?
He's literally the most good looking person I have ever seen my life.

My eyes drift to his lips and then back at his captivating and sensual eyes.
He smiles "You okay?"

I nod continuously because I still couldn't find my words.
He looks behind me "Someone keeps staring".

I wanted to turn around and see who it was, I really did but I'm sure he wouldn't be nearly as captivating as the man I'm staring thoughtlessly at.

"Is he your brother?"
That makes me immediately flip around to see who it was.
I was staring straight at Ya Muhammad who was watching us closely.

I smile to show him everything was okay. Unlike the other two he respects my decisions when he feels he should but the other two always react differently whether it's a terrible or great circumstance.

He gives me a warning look before he turns and walks away.

"Iqram!!"
I turn around and face my boss.

I smile "Sorry madam"
She rolls her eyes "So? What did you want to say to me?" She asked with a British accent she got from Sokoto. I don't even know how.

She talked and behaved like the world belongs to her. She's in her early forties and she opened this company with her late best friend when they were 29 years of age. It's a story we hear every single day and it's exhausting.
It's an interior decor company with a showroom for furnitures too. I've been working here for about 3years now and I still don't get along with her.

"I wanted to ask about my leave, I'll be getting married next week"
She starts humming.
"I—" she raises her hand shutting me up.

She stops and glares at me. "Ah, so you're getting married? You couldn't bother telling me earlier or even send an invite?"

I shake my head "You said you don't like involving yourself with anything that has to do with your employee's personal lives".
"That doesn't mean you don't invite me".

"You said that as you handed my IV back to me".

She stays quiet.
"Well you're a diligent worker so you can start your leave from next week Monday. You have just a month to do whatever it is you have to and be back on—" she looks at the date on her phone "—on the 16 of March"

I nod excitedly "Of course, thank you so much".
"Of course you're thankful" she nods "You can go back to work now".

"Okay Madam"
She huffs "I told you to stop calling me that? Do I look old to you?"

I shake my head "Then call me Mimi".
"Okay sorry, thank you Mimi"

She waves her hand "Go back to work now".
I smile and hurry out before she changes her mind because she's a pro at that.

"You're still too young" Ya Muktar complains folding his arms.

The other two just stare at him. Let's just say he's a drama king.
"How? How is she too young?" Ya Nazeer asks.

Well Ya Nazeer already has a girl he wants to marry and Ya Muhammad too but they said they didn't even want to think about it until I am successfully out of the house and in my matrimonial home.

"Muktar you're not a child anymore, your baby sister is about to get married"

Baby sister? I'm months older than his girlfriend. But I'm saying nothing because out of my 3siblings Ya Muhammad is the scariest when he's angry, the good part is he's rarely angry but you see Ya Nazeer, anything ticks him off. He's weird that way.

"Stop being a fuckboy and get a life" Ya Nazeer tells him.
"I can't, it's in my blood" he says back with a smirk.

I feel so unlucky.
These same people I'm looking at are the ones girls are fighting and betraying each other for. As girls we really need to change our choices when it comes to men.

I can't say much because I'm hopelessly in-love with Abdul but we all know it's true, I'm a perfect example. But I doubt Safina sees him the way I see my brothers, she's not dumb I'm sure she can see how perfect he is, in every sense.

"When are you going to settle down?" I ask judging him.

"Oh! Yanzu (now) because you're getting married you're judging me? But I don't care I don't want to be tied down. For now let me live my life and do whatever the hell I want"

Muhammed scoffs "Brother, you're a joke"

Nazeer bursts out laughing "I did meet my girlfriend because of you so I won't say much"

There was something Muktar was not saying, I noticed that whenever Yusrah is mentioned he has this weird look on his face and for Muktar that's not a good sign, only a few things bother him in life and women never seem to be part of it but maybe I'm exaggerating.

Mami shakes her head.
I turn to Abba "Abba please"

"Your mother doesn't want it"
"But I do, please"

He shakes his head "Anything furniture related is between you and your mother please don't drag me into this, I am not going to be asked to choose".

So there's this centerpiece Abdul loved, we went to a shopping mall and came across it. At that time he didn't propose or even hint that he wanted to marry me so when I said he wanted buy it I just shrugged. I told him to get it for his mum but he said it wasn't her style and she wouldn't like it so I just let it be but I saw it again when we went to the furniture store today.

"Please"

He turns to my mother "Why can't you just get it for her?"
"Because we have a budget and unless we get everything and there's surplus left I can't get it"

He looks at me "How much is it?"
I smile "It's 65k"

He looks at me surprised "Centerpieces cost that much?"
I nod. I didn't want to tell them it was for Abdul because my dad wouldn't agree if it was.

He smiles "Alright then, I'll transfer 70k to you? Is that fine?"

I hug him "It's perfect, thank you so much"
My mum just rolls her eyes.
