CHAPTER 2

ALEJANDRO'S POV

I loosened my necktie and leaned on my swivel chair.

Today had been really hectic since I'm handling multiple cases at once. I don't really have an issue with that since I'm a workhorse. I'm both a corporate and a defense lawyer.

Majority on what I handle are negotiable cases in some well known companies like the Saavedra Brewery Corporation, Elixir Pharmaceutical company, certain casinos, hotels and alot more. Mostly owned by my friends,not to mention I'm also a private lawyer by my Governor friend Sebastien. He's the only politician in our brotherhood since most of them are businessmen, I might say we are all powerful... And then there's my stupid brother who's a doctor.

I also know that most of them are doing illegal things like Nazaron being a drug user, Adonis being a drug lord, Sebastien being a drug trader, Dimitri had took a liking on a minor, Thobias not wanting any responsibity on a woman he got pregnant , Terrence stealing money from people who had depts on him even if it wasn't a collateral, Atlas changing his identity and marrying a woman with fake documents and Kuya Havoc that killed lots of men ... So meaning ang matino lang talaga sa amin is just me and my brother Alessandro.

And I plan to be like that. It would be hypocritical if a lawyer breaks the law right?

As a lawyer I should be the one to obey the law since it is my obligation.

So I'm just contented in blocking their illegal practices, afterall that's what friends do-to help each other.

I stared at a picture frame on my table, it was my family Picture, it wasn't supposed to be there but my brother kept on insisting... Pampagana daw sa trabaho pero mas nawawalan ako ng gana sa hitsura niya.

Speaking of Him, I haven't seen him in months now although he kept on calling and texting me, I really don't answer his calls and messages 'cause I'm busy.

He just like traveling for some reason, he went to certain provinces and cities to become a volunteer doctor while he could just work here in the city... Odd.

Even though we look kinda alike we are the biggest opposites. I'm more like my mom who is also a lawyer. I've always like literature since I was a child and I didn't have interest in any science subjects, I exeled in philosopy while my brother is more like our Dad who is also a doctor, my brother was a monster in academics especially in Science subjects like Pathology and Biochemistry when he was still studying , so our parents already know that we would take up different courses.

He is the friendly and approacheble one while I'm the stubborn and hard to please one, which I guess is good for my job since people, especially on prosecutions where  the other panel are often intimidated by me.

We're both doctors the only difference is that he is a Doctor of Medicine while I'm a Doctor of Jurisprudence.

I was taken a back when my office door opened and a woman around 5'6 entered my office, she's wearing a kinky coral dress revealing her thighs and cleavage.

I know this woman, she's Karen, my ex. My brother introduced me to her, when she told me she likes me, there was no courtship or getting to know each other stage. Immediately after she told me she likes me, we became couples.

I did love her but this bitch got the audacity to cheat on me with a colleague doctor. I caught them in the act of fucking in the hospital cubicle. What a fucking shame.

I was a damn good boyfriend pero ipagpalit ako sa lalaking mukhang bisugo.

I know that I was better than that guy. I'm smart, good looking, rich and a damn good package, not to mention I do have a huge dick and I'm a good fucker. Hindi ko alam kung bakit niya nagawa sa akin iyon, nakita ko pa nga kung paano niya kaldagin si Karen, napaka-lamya naman gumalaw.
