"Look Keem" Kianna smiled pointing at the dark sky as the stars glistened

Keem looked up with a confused look on his face trying to see what she was looking at. "Ion see nothing Ki"

"You not looking hard enough, you see how that star is glistening brightly at us?" She asked pointing at the big star that sat directly in the middle

"Yeah" He said keeping his focus on the star. "What about it?"

"Before grandma died she told me that when you lose someone they watch over you. Sometimes they might give you signs that they're still there with you. For example, I see that star every night and it shines so bright. I feel like it's either daddy or grandma" She smiled as she looked between Keem and the sky

Keem sat there not knowing exactly what to say because he didn't like to talk about death. It was something that he didn't take too well.

"The people you love might not be here physically but they're always there. They can hear you and see you but they can't return the favor of you hearing and seeing them" She sighed

"You really th-"

Before he could finish he looked over noticing that Kianna was gone.

"Kianna?" He called out looking around for her but she didn't respond

He looked around until he looked down at the lake seeing another bright star moving closer to the one that Kianna had shown him. Both of the stars stood out as they beamed violently unto the lake

"Come back, come back" Keem mumbled as he tossed and turned in his sleep

He sat up panting as tears streamed down his face

Keem sobbed to himself as his heart broke into a million pieces. Not only his sister but his best friend was gone and he couldn't do anything about it. He stared at the wall as the room filled with his deep cries

He knew that it wasn't right to question god, but all he could wonder was why. Why would someone target her and not him?

He wiped the remaining tears and calmed down as his demeanor shifted from emotional to angry. A sudden fit of rage sparked through his body as he stood up knocking everything over in sight.

All he wanted was his sister back, he would even give his own life in exchange for hers if he could. He felt like this was something that he would never be able to get over.

While Keem was going through a fit of anger, Channity sat at home in her room staring at the ceiling. She was hurt for Keem and also hurt for herself because she was starting to love being around the girls. Knowing that Kianna was now gone would change that for her, she was the life of the party in so many ways. They were never gonna fully be ok with her passing.

Channity's phone started ringing beside her and she looked over seeing that it was Diamond.

"Hey love" Diamond energetically spoke into the phone

Channity sat up and sighed into the phone before dryly replying "Hey"

"That's not the energy I was expecting, what's wrong?" She asked in a concerned tone

"Remember the girls that I brought to class with me?" Channity asked lowly

"Yes of course" Diamond nodded as if Channity could see her

"Well um.. Kianna the one that was all the perky and cracking jokes.. She passed away earlier" Channity spoke as a single tear rolled down her cheek

The phone went silent before Diamond finally spoke up "W-What, that can't be possible Chan"

Channity let out another sigh continuing to wipe her tears that constantly fell. "I know, I'm in just as much shock because I would've never expected this. Even though I didn't know her that long, I loved being around her. Her personality was so welcoming and out of this world" She ranted as she sniffled

"I can't believe this, I was honestly calling because I wanted to invite you girls out. But, this is not what I was expecting at all" Diamond mumbled in a saddened tone

"I'm not gonna hold you because I know this is a sensitive time for you, but please keep me posted. Let me know if y'all need anything" Diamond spoke

"Okay, thanks I'll call you tomorrow" Channity said

The phone soon disconnected and Channity stood up from her bed walking out of her room. She paused in her footsteps when she heard her mom talking on the phone downstairs

"Can you just please give me the rest, I'll meet you to get it or something" Shalissa spoke into the phone as she paced back and forth

"Fine I'll do whatever you want, just make sure that it's all there this time" Shalissa spoke again

Whoever was on the other end of the phone said one more thing before the phone disconnected.

Channity heard her mom let out a loud sigh before she heard a door open and close.

"I wonder what that was about" She mumbled to herself

Little did she know her whole world would eventually come crashing down way worst than it already was
