Chapter 164: Cedric VS Adelfried II

[Kingdom of Avalon]

Sparks flew out all over the room while numerous small explosions rung out everywhere as Cedric goes unto full throttle as he gripped unto his light sword made out of his own magiscules and rapidly attacked Adelfried himself who got immediately backed into the corner as he goes unto the defensive

Forming his own staff made up of his purple mana, he hastily defended himself from Cedric's every fatal strikes as he also applies dodges and blocks om his maneuvers just to keep his head on

Backed into the corner he then gritted his teeth in anger as he rapidly spun his staff all around him and quickly made a huge circle swing to block the incoming initial attacks

Following that with a few taps of his finger into the space infront of him, he then swiftly formed about 4 small mana circles infront of him and shot their projectiles towards the royal family behind Cedric at an incredible speed which shocked both the kings of Avalon and Holsteia kingdom, despite being a seasoned warrior themselves

But before such projectiles could hit their target, Cedric then immediately took notice of this slight play of hand as he rushed in between the projectiles and its target and took down the four shots in a single breath

With Cedric returning to its original position, Adelfried then easily gained a breather on his area as he instantly casted another spell right in front of him with a snap of his fingers

"Magma Cannon!"

Sending 5 shots in rapid succession, Cedric then hastily formed shields all over the area as he blocked the incoming projectiles in a hair's breath

"Shield of Luminosity!!!"

But as Cedric was totally in focus on defending the area, Adelfried then quickly took this leeway as he casted another spell right after he shot his initial attack

However when he was still at the middle of his chanting, Cedric on the other hand intentionally threw his two light sword towards him and purposely forcing him to cancel his cast and dodge the attack

Right after that Cedric continously projected multiple sword of light out of thin air behind him and threw all of it towards Adelfried, thus forcing the latter to take on the defensive once more

But this time due to his aggressiveness of the attack, Cedric actually blew Adelfried out of the room causing him to tumble out and and smash unto the wall outside

As if that wasn't enough, Cedric close in towards hum once more as he threw in numerous slashes towards him with his two sword of light on his hand and forcing Adelfried to enter combat mode

In the end Adelfried used his staff once more to defend himself from every attack as he swung his staff all over before swinging it towards Cedric

Unfortunately Cedric was quick on the uptake as he ducked his head to dodgethe swing and deliver a right upward slash to redirect the force of the swing upwards

Following that with quick maneuver he twirled his light sword on his left hand as he thrusted it towards Adelfried's stomach

But just as it was about to contact with each other, Adelfried blew up the wall behind him as he hastily jumped back and dodge the thrust that Cedric had done

After that he quickly pulled in his staff as he twirls it behind him and pointed it towards Cedric while releasing a dreadful blast

"Anima beam!"

Upon seeing that attack, Cedric's eyes constricted into a dot as he got struck by that blast and was dragged back into the throne room, but this time due to Cedric's intervention the two royal families then had enough time to actually flee from the room and move elsewhere with the guidance of the two kings intheir respective kingdom's

On the other hand when Adelfried saw that the room was empty, he couldn't help but be filled with anger as he directed his emotions towards Cedric and started cursing at him

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! You!!! Your the reason why they got away! Always getting in my way!!! What a nuisance!!!"

In that outrage he then pointed his staff towards him once more and send out another beam spell towards him in succession

"Anima beam!!!"

Sending 6 beams right towards him, Cedric once more got a grim expression on his face as he forced his body to move aside and force himself to dodge the attack

Once more erosion rung out in the room as Cedric got blasted out from it and drop down towards the garden at the back of the castle

Following after his primary target, Adelfried then sent out another devastating attack as he shot them all towards Cedric without any hesitation at all

"Volt!!!"

Seeing black voltage being thrown at him, Cedric then quickly and forcefully dodges the attack as he threw in numerous sword towards Adelfried in no avail at all, but this didn't deter his determination at all as he prepared to cast another spell under the barrage of the attacks while looking for any opportunity to turn the tides around

But as he was in the midst of doing such a stunt, hundreds of projectiles shot down from above as it completely drowned him from the explosions, causing Cedric to cough out some blood and fall to the ground

As he struggles to stand up, Cedric then saw Adelfried slowly walking over as he powered up a spell on his staff before sending out an attack

"You've pick a wrong opponent"

As Adelfried said such words, he then sent out another beam towards Cedric which could prove to be fatal it it successfully hit its defenseless target

Unfortunately before such a shot could arrive before Cedric, a shadow then streaked pass Adelfried leaving behind a huge cut across his arm before standing before the former, readily to take on the attack

"Tomura's Second defensive sword form Bunkatsu katto (Splitting Cut)"

With a swing of its sword Akito then hastily arrived before Cedric as he cuts down the beam in half and completely protected the latter from being taken out by the attack

In that moment Akito faced adelfried himself with an intent to protect Cedric who was injured a over behind him
