Chapter 157: Chaotic Event II

[Kingdom of Avalon]

While walking down the road heading towards the national treasure of the Kingdom of Avalon, both Shun and Sephiria were discussing something towards Merlin to bypass the time they had while heading towards their destination

As they were speaking Merlin somehow started to ask questions regarding their purpose of their visit, and of course as natural as it can be, Shun then fully replied with his own answer with a mix of truth and lie

"Speaking of which why are you guys heading towards the national treasure of our kingdom? didn't you guys already saw it's magnificence about a few days ago? I'm pretty sure I even guided you guys towards that location" asked Merlin

"Indeed you did!" answered Sephiria

"In actuality I'm the one who wanted to see it the second time" confessed Shun

Hearing that answer Merlin then somehow showed a surprised guess while keeping his observation towards Shun, in order to guess what the guy was thinking

"Hoh?!?! So what's your reason for visiting it the second time?" asked Merlin

"Truth be told I felt a some kind of connection towards the national treasure of your kingdom, of course not some bullshit like fate, memory, relationship, or bond, but more like something like akin to inheritance and yet you don't even have a knowledge of it... but maybe its just my gut feel, but that's how i truly felt when I saw it at first sight" answered Shun

"Gut feel? well that's not something we could ignore, I for one can testify that I mostly believe on my own gut feel at some cases, which proves to be pretty much accurate at times, but that's not the case for every people since gut feeling could be just a false assumption for something" said Merlin

"Gut feel eh? Just what kind of experience does one have when having such feeling?" asks Sephiria

"Well to be precise my fair lady, it feels closely similar to which your innards are being tickled by some feather or you feel an amount of unrest inside your guts even thought you don't feel constipated at all" answered Merlin

"Is that how it is? looks like human body is quite complicated on it's own" said Sephiria 

"You have no idea" interjected by Shun as he remembered the days when he studied human biology during his early school days

Speaking of his past, Shun couldn't help but remember his past life, but nevertheless he couldn't put his feel on it whether he missed his past life or not, but the only thing he regretted back in his past life was leaving his family members behind and also wasting so much money on games that he couldn't even use anymore due to him being transported to another world

As a modern person who is much more comfortable in being surrounded by technology, this experience of being away from his usual routine really changed him so much to be able to adjust to this sudden change in lifestyle

But past is in the past, there's no use on crying on something he couldn't change at all, after all he did managed to to meet so many people in this other world and even make friends with them, heck he is even living with his girlfriend who is Sephiria under the same roof, Even thought Duke Alan is still somewhat bitter from their relationship

While they were talking however, they then finally arrived at the huge building which housed the national treasure of the Kingdom of Avalon, but they weren't the only person in such a vicinity as they could see a person standing before the building about a few step in front of them

At first glance one could even mistake it as someone admiring the beauty of the building or a tourist of such place, but the more you feel through its mana, one could literally feel the eerie fluctuation of the surrounding atmosphere, but nevertheless they didn't suspect the person at all, after all there are many kind of people in the world and such a person is among those type of people you could find in the outside world

With such a person being ignored, Merlin then made both Shun and Sephiria wait by the side as he goes and try to get a confirmation whether the three of them could enter the building or not towards the people guarding the place

But before he could even get close towards the building, just as he passed by the person in cloaked, a giant shockwave of black mana then suddenly bursted out from the cloaked person causing Merlin to stumble down unto the floor in surprise, after all it did happen in just a sudden moment, thus making him unable to block the shockwave of mana

as Merlin stumbled unto the ground on his butt, Shun on the other hand felt all the hair on his body stand in alarm as he unconsciously projected out his Shiv and I.E, alongside beside him Sephiria on the other hand was stunned shocked by the amount of mana that is rampaging around the area

In that moment numerous guards were then alarmed by the sudden burst of mana into the surroundings as they begun unsheathing their own weapon as they charged towards the cloaked person, seemingly with an intent to apprehend him

But before the guards could do anything against the cloaked person, the cloaked person himself namely Asmodeus then begun chanting in rapid succession as numerous magic circles overlapped unto each other causing numerous spells to erupt in surprise all over the Kingdom and in that instant explosions then rung out on every corner of the Kingdom as it signals the emergence of the Diabolos Cult

Among the succession of spells that were activated, Some of them had literally neutralize the defensive towers of the kingdom, some erected a trapping domain unto the kingdom to prevent any people from escaping the grasp of the Diabolos cult members, and some were designated teleportation magic which transported numerous members outside the walls into the kingdom itself

In that moment the Diabolos Cult then started a war towards the people of the Kingdom of Avalon
