"Please don't cry no tears,
now it's Christmas, baby."

HINATA'S P.O.V

I woke up to the sunlight hitting my face. I saw my phone's alarm ringing continuously. I struggled to reach for my phone as Tobio's grip around me was... well... strong. "Psst! Tobi! Let me close the alarm." I shook him slowly. "5... more... minutes." He groaned. I clicked my tongue, just then luckily the alarm turned off on its own.

I turned to him and buried my face in his chest. It felt good to be in the safe embrace of a beloved someone. Tobio has changed... a lot. He smiles and laughs very often nowadays. Even though he might still have that grumpy and cold nature of his, it isn't as extreme as before. He even feels more caring and affectionate than before.

He'd always hate to admit what he likes but now he has no problem in expressing his feelings. He even seems to be seeking a lot of validation. I have the feeling that he's afraid of losing what he treasures. Before he'd act all unbothered about losing stuff and people. But now he's always giving it his best to keep his precious stuff safe.

A lot of progress that is, I'd say.

"It's time to wake up, Tobio." I raised myself. "Ugh... fine." He let go of me. That's when I realized... "Merry Christmas!" I wished him. "Same to you." He said and turned to the other side, facing away from me. "Awh~ is Tobi mad at me?" I said and sat up straight. "Let me sleep." He covered his face with the duvet.

"Fine, I'm going on ahead." I got off the bed and headed towards the room's washroom.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Merry Christmas!" Everyone wished each other. "Where's Kageyama?" Bokuto asked me. "Ugh! Don't ask me how much he's complaining about waking up." I pouted. "Of course, he's still stubborn." Akaashi chuckled. "Yeah." I facepalmed myself.

"Just so you know, I'm awake and am here." I heard Tobio speak up from behind me. I flinched. "Whoa! When'd you get here?" I asked nervously. "When Bokuto asked where he is."  Mrs. Kageyama laughed. "So, does that make you extra mad at me?" I tilted my head a bit. "Maybe." He shrugged.

"Should you guys maybe announce now?" Akaashi butted in. "You think so?" I asked back. "I guess we should," Tobio responded. "Fine, now that everyone's here in the dining room..." I started. "We have got an announcement." Tobio cut me off. "What is it?" His dad asked.

"Shoyo and I are." He held my hand and interlocked our fingers. "We're dating." I continued instead and showed them our intertwined hands. "Wait... what?!" Miwa exclaimed. "Are you telling me my ship is sailing?! Are you telling me you confessed to your crush, Hinata?!" She was squealing.

"Yes." I smiled. "When did all this happen?" Their mom asked. "On his birthday," I answered. "No wonder you both disappeared suddenly that day." Mrs. Kageyama chuckled. "Anyways, congratulations! I honestly think this is the best Christmas ever!" She added. "You better now let this one go, Tobio." His dad joked. "I won't, not again." Tobio smiled.

"I can't describe just how happy I am... for both my brothers!" Miwa wiped her non-existence tears away. "Akaashi has something to say too," I recalled. "Right." Akaashi nodded. "What's the surprise now?" Mrs. Kageyama seemed impatient. "We're planning on adopting," Bokuto answered. "Soon," Akaashi added. "I can't wait to become a grandparent now!" Mrs. Kageyama giggled. "That's really good news, all the best both of you!" Their dad said.

"I wonder when are you gonna stop being single." Tobio teased Miwa. "Focus on your future, not mine." Miwa looked away in embarrassment. "It feels good to be in a happy family." Bokuto smiled. "I couldn't agree more," I replied. "Come on everyone! Finish your food quickly, we still have to open our Christmas gifts!" Mrs. Kageyama announced. We nodded before finishing our food.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Whoa! I've always wanted a mugs set!" Miwa beamed as she opened her gift. "Oh! That's from me." Akaashi responded. "Thank you!" She hugged her gift. "Scented candles! That's so sweet!" Bokuto exclaimed. "Ah! That's from me." Miwa smiled. "Thank you!"

"When are you gonna open my gift?" I asked Tobio, narrowing my eyes at him. "Saving the good ones for last, you can say." He smirked. "I shall do the opposite," I smirked. I reached for his gift which was for me and started unwrapping it.

I gasped. I quickly took out the object inside and trust me when I say I almost started tearing up. "A polaroid camera," I mumbled. "That's right." I heard Tobio reply. "How'd you?" I murmured. "It's just plain coincidence. I thought you're a traveler and might love taking pictures-" I cut him off by hugging him tightly. "Then the first picture I click should be of you and me in Miyagi," I said as I sink into his embrace.

"Of course." He hugged me back gently. "I love you," I whispered. "Me too." He whispered. "Aww~" I heard almost everyone squeak. I let go of him quickly and blushed in embarrassment. "You guys are making me feel extra single," Miwa whined just then Bokuto hugged Akaashi.

We burst out laughing.

"I wonder what's for me," Tobio said and started unwrapping the gift for him from me. "Open it." I smiled. "Wow!" He exclaimed.

"A watch!" He took out the watch box. "Yeah! Sound as an important thing during work hours, don't you think?" I replied. "Of course! Thank you!" He kissed my cheek out of the blue. And of course, more squeaking was heard.

We finished with the gifts and headed to the church after an hour later.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"It's the time!" I said as I stood up from Tobio's lap. Me, him, Bokuto, and Akaashi were playing a video game after returning from the church. "Time for?" Tobio asked. "The party! We should start dressing up!" I explained. "Right!" Bokuto lit up. "Let's go hurry up!" I said and pulled Kageyama with me.

"What should I wear?" I pinched my chin in confusion. "Wear according to the weather." Tobio replied while he changed his clothes behind the folding screen. "I know that!" I groaned. Just then an idea hit me. "Hey! Tobio! Let's match!" I suggested. "We don't have anything matching so don't speak." He replied. "Let's just wear the same style," I whined. "Fine." He said.

"What're you wearing," I asked. "A turtleneck sweater, overcoat, and winter jeans." He answered. "Thanks!" I exclaimed before searching for clothes like him.

After a few moments, we were ready. He wore everything black. While I wore a white turtleneck sweater, a white and yellow oversized jacket, and black jeans. He was right, we didn't have any matching outfits.

"So we couldn't match after all... yet still..." Tobio spoke up. "You look... adorable." He added or maybe I should say; he complimented with a pink-tinted face. "Thanks! You look handsome as always. Now let's go." I said and dragged him with me, we were already a few minutes late.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Shou. Don't leave my side... please." He said as we climb down the last stair. "I promise," I reassured him. "Mom, Dad, is it okay if I and Shoyo go home more early than you guys," Tobio asked. "It's completely fine." His mom said. "Thanks." Tobio thanked.

I and Tobio took a separate car so we could head back home early.
