KAGEYAMA'S P.O.V

"Is everyone ready?" Mom asked for the 5th time. "Yeah~" we answered in unison. As you can see, today was December 20th, which meant we have to go Christmas shopping according to the planner.

Yesterday I and Hinata did not speak a word with each other after finishing our assigned chore if that's what you're curious about.

Today we'll be shopping for decorations, presents and god knows what else.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We finished shopping for decorations. Now we were looking for presents. I headed towards the room décor section, Hinata happened to be there too.

He noticed me and immediately stopped whatever he was looking for and walked away. I didn't care since this wasn't the first time he had walked out on me.

I looked around the section and found a tangerine-designed alarm clock. Reminds me of Hinata of course but it's too awkward buying a gift for him. Will he even buy one for me?

That's when a huge realization hit me. Hinata was a traveler. Goodness, how can I forget that? Yes, he had already traveled many countries- like Brazil, Europe, and Egypt, joining Asahi and Nishinoya who were also travelers.

If I'm going to buy him a gift, it might as well be something that he can carry around easily. A tangerine alarm clock? Doesn't sound so convincing.

I looked around for a bit more. I had already decided on everyone's gifts but this idiot's gift was the toughest to find. I exited the section and that's when something caught my eye:

"A polaroid camera," I mumbled as I walked towards the electronics section. I picked it up and it looked pretty attractive. A traveler would love to click pics too, right?

I bought it.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Alright! It's time to gift-wrap all the presents that you bought!" Mom announced. We reached home about an hour ago. "Those who don't know how to, seek help from me, Keiji or Hinata." Mom continued.

I knew the basics of gift wrapping so I didn't need any help.

"Hinata," I called out and he turned his face to look at me, he was sitting right beside me. Which was awkward, honestly speaking. "Hmm?" He hummed in response. "Can you put the tape on while I hold this?" I requested. "Yeah." He nodded and grabbed the tape.

"Here?" He asked. "Yeah," I replied. He applied the tape. This whole situation was a major déjà vu. I remember buying presents and gift wrapping them together when we were kids.

We'd always mess it up but still, in the end, it was all fun times. "Remember when you hurt yourself while you were cutting tape using scissors." I unknowingly mumbled. "I do. Very well." He murmured.

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't mean to say that." I gulped nervously. This is embarrassing. "We're thinking about the same thing after all, huh?" He snickered. "I guess," I replied with a soft smile.

"You remember when I accidentally applied glue on your hair." He giggled. "Of course." I held back my laughter. "Did you buy a gift for everyone?" I asked out of curiosity. I know he wouldn't answer me if he didn't buy me a gift but still, I keep hoping. I didn't wanna look like a fool buying gifts for someone who doesn't bother buying one for me.

"If you're trying to ask that if I bought a present for you too then." He paused. "Yes, I did." He continued. A wave of relief hit my mind. I could feel my cheeks heating up in embarrassment and my palms starting to sweat.

"Done." He said as he applied the last tape. I moved the gift aside- under the undecorated Christmas tree. "Help me too." He said and I nodded.

"Here, hold this side." He instructed and I did so. I felt kind of content being able to talk to him normally. Deep inside I know I miss him, extremely so much. I crave that fun we had in our childhood.

He didn't change at all in my eyes. Same bright smile, same cheery voice, same slender body, same adorable face; and as always, shorter than me.

"Alright, done!" He smiled. He as well shoved the gift under the Christmas tree. "Let's go have snacks." He stood up.

"What's this I see?" A very familiar teasing voice interfered. "Bounding moments between two long-lost friends?" Miwa teased dramatically. "Shut up." I rolled my eyes before sighing. "I heard you guys were heading for snacks. Well, I made some cookies, go try them!" She said.

"Fine." I stood up. "Thanks." I heard Hinata thank me before jogging his way towards the kitchen. I followed him.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

After having Miwa's delicious cookies, we headed our way. I headed towards my room. I lay on my stomach with a pillow under my chest on the bed. With my laptop turned on in front of me, I did some of my office work.

That's when I heard the room's door open. "Erm... sorry for the disturbance." It was Hinata. "What do you want?" I questioned. "Nothing from you," He answered. "I came here to fill in my travel journal." He continued. "Oh?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Yeah. I won't disturb you and work quietly so don't worry." He stated. "Fine." I shrugged and got back to work.

That's when I heard printer noises.

"I don't mean to poke my nose in your business but... What're you printing?" I raised a question. "Well... I'm printing out the pictures I took earlier in Miyagi." He answered. "Unluckily... My old polaroid camera broke." He pouted.

Jackpot.

"I see." I grinned secretly. "I can see you grinning, idiot." He glared at me. "Oops." I smiled cheekily. "I know, I know, I'm super careless." He groaned. "Never said anything." I shrugged before smirking.

Just how lucky of me to happen to buy a polaroid camera as a gift that too for him.
