Returned from rehab

"Fez I swear to god if you don't put me down" I giggled as Frezco threw me over his shoulder and walked around his store with me hitting his back playfully.

"Get a room" his little brother Ashtray scoffed from his seat across the counter, fez and I actually weren't together. Before we became close he was just my dealer then over summer with Rue gone we'd spent more and more time together. That was when I wasn't hanging with Maddy, Cassie, lexi and Kat.

"Suck my dick Ash" I gave him the finger when fez turned around so I was now facing him upside down. He started to laugh but tried his best to hide it. We continued to mess about till we heard a farmiliar voice I had missed dearly all summer.

"RUE!" I exclaimed as Fez set me back on my feet, it took a moment for the blood to stop rushing to my head for me to compose myself but by that time I was already being engulfed into a massive hug. She looked well, better than the last time I saw her hooked up to machines in the hospital. "You're back, when?" The smile never faded from my face. Rue and I have been best friends since I moved here from London when I was 10.

"Since today" she answered dabbing up Fez and waving to Ashtray. "So is anyone going to the back?" She asked and that's when my smile finally dropped.

"Rue man I don't know" Fez shifted on his feet uncomfortably, since her overdose Fez has blamed himself as he was the one who sold her the drugs. It pained him when he found out that his friend had nearly died due to something he he gave her.

"Are you sure about this Rue?" I asked as she nodded. I handed her my money as ashtray lead her out the back of the fridges which left just me and Fez.

"So you still coming to this party tonight?" Fez asked grabbing my attention from my phone. I looked up and was about to answer.

"Party? What party?" Rue asked handing me the drugs.

"McKays house tonight, last party before school starts" I explained.

"We're going right?" She asked and I nodded in agreement. I mean a party for a drug addict freshly out of rehab isn't the best idea but I'd rather be there than have her going alone.

"There's a new girl in town I think you'll be friends with Rue" Fez spoke up as we were about to leave.

"Who?" She asked confused. There hasn't been anyone new around here for the past 2 years so she was curious to know.

"Shit, I don't know. She came in yesterday looking all sailor moon and shit. I'm thinking to myself, like, looks like someone Rue and y/n would get along with" he explained and I just shrugged. I hadn't met this mysterious girl for myself yet so I was also just as curious.

"Right we best be off to get ready for this party, see you there dude" Rue said taking my hand and dragging me out the door without change to say goodbye myself. I got in the drivers seat and set off back to mine with Rue.

I must admit these past weeks of summer has got me looking at Fez differently, we do flirt a lot.

-we arrived at mine about 10 minutes later.

"Hello?" I called through the house to see if my brother is still in but there was no reply. Since my parents ditched us my older brother, Nathan has been my guardian since he's 10 years older than me. We both walked through to the kitchen where I seen a note on the island.

'Y/n.
I had to leave for a business trip last minute, won't be back till Monday night.
Love from Nathan x' I read the note before throwing it in the bin beside the counter and grabbing Rue a snack from the fridge.

"So" she smiled over at me wiggling her brows. I smirked not knowing what she was doing but it got me nervous. "You and Fez"

"What?" I giggled sipping on my juice to hide my smile just off hearing his name.

"You's are close" she teased chuckling to herself as I rolled my eyes.

"Let's go get ready"
