Jimin's and Jungkook's family are friends. Jimin's family is rich while Jungkook is from a normal middle class family.

Jungkook has always been independent and doesn't want his family's money. Jungkook starts a company by himself. He is very smart and skilled. But it is still a small company and it unfortunately underwent bankruptcy due to a minor error - the company couldn't withstand the backlash. Jungkook's family doesn't have that kind of money to recover from the bankruptcy.

When Mr Park gets to know about the bankruptcy, he offers to help in exchange for Jungkook marrying Jimin. Jungkook was literally forced to marry the boy since he didn't want to make his parents suffer because of his mistakes.

Jungkook felt incompetent, he felt embarrassed, he felt anger towards himself but who was at the receiving end of it? - Jimin, of course.

Jungkook was a self-made man, he didn't like to ask help from anyone and it hurt his ego to be dependent on his husband's family.

On the other hand, Jimin genuinely accepted Jungkook as his husband and wanted to help him in any way he could and be with him. Unfortunately, Jungkook saw it as Jimin trying to be superior to him and that made him avoid his loving husband. He would often just walk away when Jimin came into the room

Their married life went on like that for a while till Jungkook finally notices Jimin when the boy performs a song in the company party that was held at a hotel. The company was Jimin's dad's and Jungkook was currently working there as a managing director. Jimin attended the party for his dad as well as for his husband, of course. Jimin worked as a consultant and didn't work in the company.

Jimin's voice, it was indeed mesmerizing and Jungkook couldn't help but get captivated by his voice. It was soothing and Jungkook felt his stress just melting away. The man couldn't stop staring at his husband and started noticing how beautiful the boy's smile was, his laugh was indeed contagious and everything including Jimin's cute clumsy self made the man fall for the boy. It was like love at first sight for him because that was genuinely the first time that Jungkook fully saw Jimin for who he was.

Jungkook was still cold towards his husband but now he didn't avoid Jimin as much. He started listening to whatever Jimin had to say, at least he would hum to the tiny boy and Jimin for now was content with that.

Jungkook was under a lot of stress. On top of working for Jimin's dad, Jungkook was trying to rebuild his company. He was working overtime and he was losing his mind and his frustrations made him take out his anger on his tiny husband - why? Because Jimin was always waiting for the man, not sleeping and worrying about him. Jungkook felt guilty. He felt concerned for Jimin's health as the boy got sick easily. Jungkook was worried for the boy but he didn't know how to show it

Jimin has enough of Jungkook scolding him for being concerned about his husband and so he argues with the man

"What do you want from me, Jungkook?!" Jimin is upset. Jungkook was making it seem like Jimin was committing a crime by staying up late for him "....you want me to not sleep with you, okay.. I will get up early and cook and avoid you .. you want me to stop cooking..okay... you want me to stop talking to you, okay.." Jimin shakes his head "....you know what you make me feel? You make me hate myself.." Jungkook's throat closes in a sob. He didn't deserve the boy. He has hurt Jimin so much, without even realizing it "...I hate myself so much that I love you... that I can't even divorce you... because you need my dad's help.... unless you want to divorce..... then okay... do whatever you want... because I'm tired... I'm so tired, Jungkook ... I can't do this anymore..." Jimin sighs before walking away

Jungkook and his dad argue about Jungkook's decision for a divorce

"Why are you doing this? Don't you love Jimin? You will lose your whole company if you do this..." Jungkook's dad warns

"I'm divorcing him...because I love him"

Jungkook and Jimin get divorced soon enough

Jungkook always kept tabs on the boy, though. Always made sure Jimin got home safe from work.

Jungkook started leaving love notes at Jimin's door

Jimin felt special - it was signed JK

I'm selfish... I don't want you to forget me... that's why I'm reminding you daily... not even for a second do I want you to forget me... Jimin I love you a lot... but I'm giving you the space you deserve because you will be mine again one day and from that day I will never let you out of my sight

I will be waiting for the day you finally come to make me yours - Jimin smiles reading the letter.

And for a year, Jungkook continues sending his ex husband flowers and love letters while they both focus on their own careers

In a year, Jungkook was able to rebuild his company and bring it up to its original glory that it was rightfully made up to be

Today was the new year's, a new year, a new day, a new beginning

It was nearing midnight when Jimin opens the door after someone rang the bell, his lips curled up into that beautiful smile that Jungkook loved and missed so much

"Will you go out on a date with me?" Jungkook asks handing Jimin a bouquet of flowers

"I thought you would never ask" Jimin giggles accepting the man's flowers

At that very moment, the countdown starts. People started lighting the fireworks and screaming in the streets around them

"Happy new year's, love!" Jungkook says pulling Jimin closer to him by holding his waist "I love you!"

Jimin blushes as he wraps his arms around Jungkook's neck, the flowers rubbing against Jungkook's nape "Happy new year's..."

Jungkook's hot breath tickles Jimin's lips "...I love you too!"

And their love story finally begins
