A/N: idea @jiminahh143. I'm assuming you had a completely different idea in mind for the plot but I can't come up with anything better than this

Jungkook and Jimin are boyfriends. They were batchmates in college and soon dated after Jimin asked the man out on a dare

Taehyung had noticed how the two college mates would stare at the other during class when they thought the other wasn't looking.

Once, the professor had canceled the class and Taehyung had decided to play truth or dare with Hoseok and Jimin - they had almost 2 hours before their next class. Almost all the students had left, leaving behind just a handful and that included Jungkook. Taehyung had then dared Jimin into confessing to Jungkook as a joke just to see the relatively loner boy's reaction. Jimin agreed because he really was attracted to the man - if anything, he could tell Jungkook that it was just a dare.

"J-Jungkook... can we talk?" Jimin asks and Jungkook removes his headphones

"Sure" he says with no special emotion

Jungkook was seated on the last row in the auditorium

"...I.. I was wondering if you would be interested in dating me...." Jimin blushes seeing Jungkook's intense gaze "....I really like you...."

Jungkook just stared

"...ah... forget it..." Jimin says embarrassed and turns to leave

"....tonight ... at 7... I will pick you up from your dorm.... dress cute... just like you are..."

Jungkook has always been possessive and short tempered. He hurt Jimin a lot indirectly because of his personality but the boy always understood the man. Jimin had accepted Jungkook's overall self. Jungkook wasn't rude or abusive. In the beginning, the man had quite a lot of difficulty when it came to expressing what he felt or the love he had for Jimin. Jimin had been patient and with time, Jungkook learned to express himself more and not to hide his concerns and love for the by with his outbursts

Everything was going relatively well with the couple, Jungkook was being more open about his feelings, that was till Y/N came into the picture. Y/N was Jimin's childhood best friend, they had lost touch after she left to USA for a year. She was back now and joined Jimin and Jungkook's University

Y/N and Jungkook were family friends due to their parents being business partners. Their parents had suggested they marry but they weren't interested. Jungkook's dad knew Jungkook wasn't interested in her but to pacify Y/N's dad who was worried about her adjusting back to a Korean university, Jungkook's dad had asked the man to aid Y/N whenever needed - like picking her up and dropping her back home. Some days he had to accompany her to a business party or so.

All these led to Jungkook spending less time with Jimin. The mistake Jungkook made was to hide the fact that Y/N was his supposed fiancée. Jimin knew Y/N and Jungkook were together whenever the man called to cancel their plans - Jungkook always made sure to tell Jimin that

Jimin's eyes widen when he hears Y/N talking to someone else about Jungkook being her fiancée at the university. Jimin felt hurt - he had seen posts of Jungkook and Y/N on her profile. Lately, the man had been avoiding Jimin and behaving coldly over the phone or whenever they met. Jungkook didn't explain the reason - the man had been burdened with college works, his dad's business takeovers as well as the need to please Y/N's dad who was teaching him some business tactics - for that he had to help Y/N with her college assignments as she was technically his junior.

His main idea was not to burden or make Jimin feel insecure unnecessarily- Y/N's dad was still hoping for Jungkook to be his son in law even after Jungkook and Y/N had refused. Jimin was sensitive and would easily be insecure about himself, Jungkook knew it and thought he was protecting the boy, not knowing that Jimin was actually getting hurt by his actions

Jimin breaks up with Jungkook the day Y/N posts that Jungkook was her fiancée.

"...it's not true... she is nothing to me... call and ask her!" Jungkook states

Jimin calls Y/N

"Is it true that Jungkook is your fiancée?"

"Yea... of course Jungkook is my fiancée... we are getting married soon..."

Jimin sobs as he cuts the call

"W-Why... why are you crying?" Jungkook panics drawing closer to the boy but Jimin stops him

"Y-You lied.. she said you guys.... are getting m-married.."

"No! No! It's not true... Please trust me..."

Jimin shakes his head sobbing not wanting to hear the man

Jungkook doesn't know why Y/N lied - but what hurt him was the fact that Jimin believed her over him.

Jimin didn't know Y/N said that to make her crush jealous. He was standing next to her when she attended the call.

Jungkook tries again and again to talk to Jimin but the boy gave no heed

"Please leave.... Give me some time..."

This was what Jungkook was afraid of - losing Jimin to anything. Jungkook didn't want to give Jimin time. He had never really felt love, even from his parents - Jimin was the only one who made him believe in love and he made sure to not let the boy go. If Jimin left him, he knew he wouldn't be able to take it.

Jungkook stubbornly walks into Jimin's kitchen and carries in a knife with him, making Jimin look at the man in surprise

"If you don't believe me and leave me.... then there is no point in me living...." Jungkook has tears in his eyes "....you are my life Jimin.... and you will be the death of me...." Jungkook looks at Jimin "....if by killing myself I can prove that I love you... then so be it...."

Before Jimin could process anything Jungkook cuts his wrist deep

Jimin panics as he rushes towards Jungkook and throws away the knife , he sobs as he tries to stop the bleeding

"W-Why Jungkook why? I just asked for some time.. " Jimin sobs

"B-Because I know... I have lost y-your trust a-and you won't come b-back.... I'm sorry...." Jungkook says crying as he slowly faints

"Don't ever do that again!" Jimin scolds the man who just woke up in the hospital

"I love you... please.. Please don't do this again... I thought I lost you forever..." Jimin cries

"....I felt the same when you asked for some time... I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that... I didn't mean for you to see that.... I didn't think of the impact... I just lost hope seeing your eyes filled with anger and hurt.... I'm sorry... I won't do that ever again..." Jungkook apologizes, his tears stream down his face

"....I love you and trust you Jungkook.... please don't think otherwise....."

"I love you too Jimin"

Jungkook closes his eyes seeing Jimin leaning down to kiss him

"..You are mine. Not even I can change that.." Jungkook whispers against Jimin's lips
