[25] BREAK UP TO MAKE UP - Mar 16 2021

Jungkook finally speaks after a long silence. Jimin was wiping his eyes as he sat silently across the man in their living room. Jimin had suggested a break up. The 2 had been dating and living together for a year now. But Jimin was fed up of Jungkook's possessive nature. Jimin felt like the man didn't trust him but it really wasn't about that. Jimin was close to Taehyung - that boy had asked Jimin out way before Jungkook came into the picture. Jungkook was just not sure if Taehyung still liked his Jimin. Jimin has enough of the man accusing or being suggestive of their friendship. Day in and day out they fought on this one thing. Taehyung is Jimin's colleague at work too so it was inevitable that they would meet everyday. Jungkook was hurt and surprised that Jimin insisted for a break up. They had often fought about Taehyung and Jungkook's possessiveness. He never thought it would lead to Jimin being so miserable in their relationship, miserable enough to mention the word break up. That's why Jungkook agreed for it - not because he wanted it, he was dying inside but because he felt Jimin deserved better 

 “What happens to Miri?” Jungkook asked looking at the white dog sitting on the floor next to Jimin

Jimin gulps. He didn't think about Miri when he suggested the break up. 

 “I don’t want to give her up..”  

 “Neither do I...” 

Jimin and Jungkook loved Miri. The boys went to a dog shelter one day to experience it and they both fell for Miri and they decided to adopt her as they were already staying together at this point. Who knew a day would come where they had to break up and decide who gets Miri

Jungkook saw how upset the boy looked 

 “How about we take turns to take care of her?” Jungkook suggested

Jimin smiles at that 

Jungkook moved out to his old apartment that he planned for renting out.  Jimin insisted Jungkook to stay since he was the one to suggest the breakup but the man would not hear any of it

Jimin cried hugging Miri who looked upset after Jungkook left. In the evenings Jungkook would be rubbing her belly. Miri missed her daddy 

"Mommy is so sorry baby…" Jimin cries "...mommy just needs some time away from daddy…."

Miri refused to eat her food the next day. It was usually Jungkook who gave her breakfast after taking her out on a walk 

"Baby please eat …" Jimin sniffles. He was missing Jungkook just as much as Miri did. His heart picks up speed when he sees Jungkook's name flash on his phone 

"H-Hello?"

"Ji… are you crying?" Jimin nearly sobbed out loud hearing the man's concern 

"No.. I just woke up…"

Jungkook hums "...I'm sorry for calling … but can I come over… I miss my morning time with Miri…"

Jimin smiles "...please…"

After the first week Jimin told Jungkook that he should stop coming over - it served no purpose to the break up. It ended up with Miri staying one week with Jungkook and the next with Jimin. 

It's been a month of this to and fro. 

They both missed each other terribly but the two were stubborn. Not ready to admit their true feelings

"Did you eat something?" Jimin asks when he goes to leave Miri with Jungkook 

"Yea…" 

Jimin frowned seeing the take outs and junk food on the couch and table 

"You are eating unhealthy again aren't you?" 

Please don't care about me. Don't make me assume that you still love me 

"It's okay"

"No.. let me cook you something… I don't have work today anyway…"

Jungkook smiles watching the boy cook. He always enjoyed this when they were together. He would go behind the boy and wrap his arms around his tiny waist and kiss along the boy's neck and then they would end up kissing and grinding against each other till Miri would come running in and wagging her tail happily as she watched her parents make out. Jungkook missed that 

Jungkook wanted Jimin back and he knew the boy wanted him too. It was obvious from the way Jimin always tried to stay longer at his place or invite him for a drink at times.

Miri pouted whenever she was left alone with either of them. She saw how her parents cried after the other left the house.

Jungkook got a job offer to move back to Busan. 

"So you are moving huh?" Jimin was upset but he tried not to show it 

"...I haven't thought about it.. yet…"

Miri was staying over at Jimin’s that night. Jungkook decided to move to Busan. It was decided that Jimin would keep Miri as it would be difficult for Miri to move to another state she wasn't familiar with. Jungkook would move by the end of the month 

"Miri… do you think daddy will stay back if I ask him to?" Jimin sniffles again 

Miri starts barking and then she faints. Jimin panicked as he takes her to the vet and then called Jungkook on the way. Jimin was freaking out 

Jungkook soon goes to the vet and Jimim rushes into the man's arms. The only man who made him feel safe 

"Miri…" Jimin cries

"Shush… she will be okay.. she is a strong girl...just like her mommy…." Jungkook comforts Jimin 

The vet tells them to leave as there wasn't room for people to wait. It was a small clinic.

The two walk around in a park nearby. They talk for a while as they both anxiously waited for the news 

"… don't go to Busan… Miri needs you… we need you…" Jimin sobs in Jungkook's arms 

Jungkook wipes the boy's tears "...you want me to stay?"

Jimin sobs "...I love you… I never stopped loving you...please… please stay… for us…"

"I never stopped loving you either…" Jungkook says leaning down to softly kiss the boy's lips.  A kiss filed with their love and promise

"I missed you so much........ I can't be away from the both of you again… I had already told them I wasn't moving…" Jungkook says making Jimin's eyes grow wide "...I just wanted to know if you would ask me to stay back…"

Jimin smiles slightly "...i'm sorry for suggesting a break up…"

"And I'm sorry for always bringing Taehyung up… I hope you know that I trust you…"

"I know.."

Jimin and Jungkook smile with happy tears when the vet says that Miri is totally fine. 

Jungkook pulls Jimin into a sweet kiss at that

"Daddy and mommy are back... are you happy Miri?" Jungkook asks lifting the dog 

Finally! - Miri smirks internally as she wagged her tail happily licking Jungkook's face before jumping over into Jimin's arms -  do you know how hard it was to play dead. Gosh! I better get my human siblings soon
