34-The Truth Hurts

"Look Alora, I know you don't trust me and if I were in your situation I wouldn't trust me either. There's alot I need to tell you that I'm sure Axel hasn't told you."

"Just get to the point Lucy I'm tired," Alora said folding her arms

"Six years ago I gave birth but it was a very risky pregnancy. I was aware since the moment I saw the two lines on the pregnancy test. I chose to go forward and continue on with the pregnancy."

"What does that have to do with me?" Alora asked confused

"Just let me finish Alora"

"Fast forward I gave birth a month early and went into a terrible coma. When I woke up the first person I saw was Nash. He told me that I was left for dead by the child's father and that my child was killed as well. I don't know why I believed him it was foolish of me to"

"I still don't understand"

"The father of the child was Axel," Devine said

Alora furrowed her brows and shook her head in disbelief.

"This is all a part of the plan isn't it?" Alora said angrily

"The only plan is to save you now Alora. I saw my own daughter at the ball. I know Axel wouldn't kill a child and I realized I made a great mistake. I've been thinking about flying back to New York for the past few days and I will tonight." Lucy said

Alora didn't say a thing she was in disbelief.

"By the way, I'm not Lucy anymore. I'm Lizzie, the kind-hearted woman I buried under my fake persona. Good night Alora" Lizzie said

Lizzie left the room quietly and sneaked her way out of the large house. She didn't bring any luggage along with her. Lizzie knew getting the team to trust will be hard but she's willing to do it.

Lizzie took a cab to the airport, the car ride was quiet as she watched the cars pass. The airplane ride back to New York would be approximately four hours. She hoped that it would be enough time to save Alora without any suspicion. Within forty-five minutes the cab parked at the airport, Lizzie paid the cab driver and quickly arrived on time to get on her plane. She closed her eyes and slept until the flight landed back in New York.

Four Hours Later...

Lizzie stretched as she got up from her seat. She exited the plane along with the other passengers. Lizzie got into another cab and stopped at a hotel nearby for the remainder of the night.

The Next Day...At The hospital

"I've tested Axel Santiago and he's clear to go home. I've also sent along some prescribed creams and medications to heal his light burns and any soreness he may be feeling. If the pain is too severe come back in immediately."

"Thank you Doctor Jenz," Axel said

Doctor Jenz nodded before leaving the room.

"Finally I can go home and start looking for Alora. I couldn't stop thinking of her" Axel said

"Yes we can son, we'll quickly pick up Devine from the Gravano's and go back to me and your mother's house"

"Why hasn't anyone been at my mansion?" Axel asked confused

"The team didn't want to put themselves more in danger but they haven't slept in the house," Manuel said

"It's okay let's just go," Axel said

All three exited the hospital, they got into the car which had been waiting for them since morning. The drive to the Gravano's was quiet but Axel was excited to see Devine again.

"Dad!" Devine smiled happily

"My Angel! How are you?!"

"I'm okay but where's Alora?"

"Uhh, you'll see her later okay?" Axel said

"Okay! Bye Grandma! Bye Grandpa!" Devine said to Farrell and Irena

"Bye baby! We'll call later!" Farrell and Irena shouted

Axel waved bye and quickly entered the car along with Devine.

"To the mansion!" Manuel ordered

The car started once again and drove to the mansion owned by Axel's parents. Thirty minutes later and the car arrived. The team was happy to see Axel alive and well.

"Axel! I'm so happy you're alive!" Cedric yelled

Axel nodded

They all sat around the table and started to discuss the disappearance of Alora.

"There's something huge we need to tell you, Axel," Annika said

"Go ahead tell me," Axel said worriedly

A loud knock at the door interrupted the meeting. Cedric stood up and walked to the front door.

"Don't worry I'll see who it is" Cedric said

Cedric opened the door. He couldn't believe who was standing at the front door. Her face, the same face he wouldn't believe to see again.

"Come in," Cedric said

Lizzie walked in quietly. He followed her behind closely while clenching his gun just in case.

"Lizzie?!" Axel said

A tear rolled down Lizzie's cheeks as she nodded.

"I'm sorry Axel," She said

"The doctors said you were dead! You lied to me! You lied to all of us!" Axel shouted

The team watched quietly and in shock.

"I was told you tried to kill me and you killed our baby Axel!" Lizzie yelled

Axel chuckled,

"Kill you?! Kill A baby?! Why would I do that?! So after all those years of us being together, you didn't trust me enough! Our baby?! My baby! My Child Lizzie!"

"I gave birth to her!"

"You didn't raise her! You never put any effort or care to see her!" Axel shouted

"I'm not here to argue Axel! There's not enough time for that! I'm here because of Alora!" Lizzie said wiping away her tears

"Alora?! What do you know about Alora huh?!" Axel yelled angrily

"I know where she is Axel! She's in Mexico!" Lizzie said

Axel pulled out his gun and aimed it at Lizzie.

"You better tell me everything you know!"
