"Sloan you passed out, I barely caught you. stay there." He said gently brushing my hair out of my face. He slipped on boxers and quickly brought over a towel drying off the water that was still on me, and then covering me with the towel. "Are you ok? Do you need to go to the hospital or anything like that?" He asked as he rubbed a cool washcloth over my forehead. His face was flushed and full of worry.

"I'm still a little dizzy but I think I'm ok." I said. He nodded and went over to his dresser, grabbing me a pair of his boxers and one of his old t-shirts. He pulled the t-shirt over my head softly and then helped me slide on the shorts, His eyes staying on me at every point, making sure I was ok. He scooted me up the bed and made sure there was a pillow under my head. I watched as he grabbed his phone and texted someone. I closed my eyes briefly trying to stop the spinning of the room. It was slowly getting better. I heard a knock at the door. Jake stood up from the bed and went over,

"Here, is she ok?" I heard on the other side of the door, I couldn't see but I knew it was Sam.

"Yeah, I just didn't want to leave her up here to run downstairs, thanks for bringing this up." Jake said taking the bottles of water and a plate from him.

"No problem, you're sure she's ok?" He said again, this time peeking his head in. I mustered a smile and gave him a small wave.

"She's on the mend now I think, thanks again Sam, I knew out of everyone downstairs you'd be the first one to see a text."

"Let me know if she needs anything else." He said quietly, Jake nodded and closed the door. He walked over and sat down next to me on the bed.

"I brought you some water and also some toast in case you haven't eaten," he said placing the plate on the bed and opening the water bottle, handing it to me.

"Thank you babe," I said grabbing his hand and giving it a little squeeze.

"Has this ever happened before?" He was as he placed his hand on my thigh, the other helping me sit up to take a drink.

"No, I think I just got too hot in the shower, and also I haven't really eaten today, I was too nervous about seeing you." I said shyly as I took a drink, He nodded his head still watching my every movement. "Jake, It's ok, I'm ok right now." I said reassuring him, I sat up eating my toast as Jake moved to a laying poistion, resting his head on his hand as he watched me eat. I watched as his eyes traveled down my legs

"I didn't know you had a scar from that day we went camping," He reached down, lightly running his fingers over the scar,

"Yeah, that was quite a weekend huh?" I said smiling as I chewed my toast,

"It definitely was," Jake looked back at me smiling, "That was the weekend I kissed you for the first time, and the weekend I told you I had feelings for you."

"We did more than kiss for the first time that weekend," I laughed causing Jake to laugh too,

"Hey, you made the first move that day." He joked sitting up and looking at me

"I couldn't help it, you were all sweaty, and you were taking care of me and the way you looked at me should have been illegal." I paused, "You always take such great care of me."

"Well of course I do, I love you." He said leaning in and kissing me

"I love you too," I kissed him back, "I'm sorry I ruined our first night back together," I said looking down

"Hey," He said, grabbing my chin and tilting it to look at him, his beautiful brown eyes looking into mine, "You didn't ruin anything, I just wanted to be with you, and I am. Plus, we have plenty of time to catch up on other things later," He winked at me. I took my last bite of food and Jake took the plate and placed it on the nightstand. He rolled back over and helped me under the covers. I cuddled up against him with my head on his chest. I took a deep breath taking in all that I had missed, the smell of him, falling asleep to his breathing, his touch in general. He ran his fingers through my hair as we watched the tv.
