Aether's theory is right. Even if he changes the timeline Childe will always still be there. He admits to himself that he won't want to meet Childe just to not get mixed again on his Fatui thing since he's busy finding his sister.
But he's not right. Even if he changes something like prolonging the fight in the plaza just to escape meetings, Childe. He still meets him. "That guy is a pain," he thought. Now he needs to defeat the Osial once again.
But one thing made him happy. He is going to meet the Adepti. Childe suggested it to them. He has two purposes to do it. One is to free him from the misunderstanding and two is to absorb a bit of Adepti's power.
He will use some kind of technique to convert the Adeptus energy into his power. His power, for now, can not be replenished but that doesn't mean that he can not make others replenish it for him.
On the way to the Jueyun Karst, both Paimon and the traveler are exhausted exploring the mountains just to find the right way to get to their final destination.
"Paimon so tired," she pants heavily as she temporarily rests on the ground while Aether stared at the shrine seriously.
"And who might you be? Those who dare to enter the Jueyun karst?" The Adepti angrily asked. Aether didn't reply but handed the sigil of permission to the Adepti.
"It's been a while since I last saw this. The name is Moon Carver. Speak, Traveler. What business have you here?" He asked after giving the permission.
Paimon then gets up and explains everything since Aether is not good at telling stories. "Actually... But before they could explain their side a Millelith sergeant arrived bringing over fifty men.
"It's the assassin! They dared to flee here to Jueyun karst!!. Arrest them!!" He ordered as the men once again attack Aether and his companion.
Suddenly the Moon Carver roared making every last one of the soldiers kneel in response. "You!! How dare you get here without my permission!!" His voice is frightening that even the soldiers sweat a lot.
"Mr. Adepti! ....Rex...Lapiz...had been killed...by those two!" Hearing this the Adepti roared again making all of them get sent away by the shockwave generated from his mouth.
The Adepti now had violent energy surging on his body. "Aether!!! What do we do now? Those guys beat us to it!!" Paimon panicked while the soldiers just smirked because both of them will die at the hands of the Adepti.
"Mr. Moon Carver, calm down and let me explain my side too!!" Aether shouted after the violent torrent from the Adepti. The Adepti then looks at him and he's going to say something.
"So you're the one who killed Rex Lapiz...you must be punished!" He roared trees around going is falling due to a violent shockwave while the stones are getting destroyed.
The moon carver approached Aether while the traveler just stand there calmly. Paimon began to hide somewhere. "Why are you not running away? Are you not scared of me" The Moon Carver asked.
"There's nothing to be scared off. also I take that you are like the Qixing who are dumb and just blame anyone without any proper evidence," He said as Paimon and the soldiers hiding in the cave near have their mouths wide open.
"Is he for real?" The soldiers thought.
"Aether. you're an idiot! Don't pick a fight that you can't win dumbass!!" Paimon Shouted as aether just smiled and stayed calm.
He knows he can't win yet he still stands tall. His dull blade was destroyed in the fight with The Yuheng and he still doesn't have any spare left. "Everything is going on my plan," he thought and smirk.
"You..." The Adepti said before in just a blink of an eye he gets slashed by the claws of the Adepti sending him almost 10 meters away landing on the ground and making a crater in the process.
"That's hurt" he puked some blood as he could see his body have a very deep slash.
"Mr. Adepti you misunderstood something. I'm not the one who killed Rex Lapiz. But I'm now the type of guy who won't retaliate if get hit!!"
He shouted. "Oh, ALL MIGHTY ADEPTI! IS THIS ALL YOU'VE GOT? YOU FUCKING WON'T EVEN KILL ME AT THIS RATE!!" HE shouted very loud clearly angering the Adepti more.
"Mortals don't know their place!" Moon carver shouted and in just one roar a very large geo-energy hit Aether directly intending to destroy him completely.
"AAAAAAAHHHH!!!" Aether cried in pain. "It's fucking hurt! But I need to endure this!" He thought.
"Aether!! Pls, stop!! Moon carver please stop! Please don't punish someone without hearing their side first!!" Paimon cried as she begged the Moon Carver. Suddenly the Moon Carver stopped and take a step back.
"Your right, my bad." He said "now explain your side," he told Paimon but Paimon is busy looking at Aether who is still well and alive. All of his wounds and slashes already get healed at a faster rate.
"No way...he is supposed to die by that hit!" The Millelith soldier shouted. "Quiet! I will hear both of your sides first before taking any more action" he ordered.
"Aether..." Paimon is surprised as he just smiled and pats Paimon on the head. "Everything is going to be fine," he said as wiped out the Millelith soldiers then approached the Moon Carver and it talks. "You're not from here, are you? The power surging inside you is different from a vision. Tell me who are you?"
