Before you continue reading, I suppose you readers do know that yes, this IS a Honkai Impact fanfic. I'll try to make this as interesting as I can while of course, staying plot relevant. So.. Expect the first few chapters to focus on Yap's past before well, going into the main story of sorts.

From what I've seen as well, I do know that Himeko's death has dealt everyone quite some emotional damage. For Otto... I'm not too entirely sure about that but eh. It depends on how this story will progress so... yeah. Anyway.

Let's get to Yap's bio, shall we?

3rd POV

Year: 197X

Location: South East Asia

Time: 7.30 pm

The South East Asia. Not really a good area, for living, or business. It was said not even the World Serpent would want to do with anything there.

Schicksal however...

Did show SOME interest.

This particular region has rather high Honkai Energy concentrations. Most would typically die within a few weeks or so, with the weaker or unlucky ones within a few days.

But who's to say that there aren't anyone living there? Of course there'd be. Just not much that's all. Only about 250 million live there in 11 countries. What Schicksal did was promise this region a better life and overall improvements.

Valkyries would be deployed there, providing security to the people there, Honkai energy R&D labs would also be built, Honkai energy to normal energy converters, the list could go on and on.

So why did Schicksal show interest in this particular region?

Well, naturally because of the people that are there. The surviving ones typically have high resistance to Honkai energy surrounding them. Though no stigmatas would form on them.

Also did I mention this region's people, especially the politicians and those with money and power tend to abuse it?

The people living in the region may have high resistance to Honkai energy, but they are also oppressed by their governments in each country. Forced to pay ungodly high taxes, they usually live in isolation. The richer ones could afford to stay in cities where usually Valkyries are situated. In response to this oppression, some of the locals have established a black market of sorts. Where those who wish to free their own lands from the government forces and force Schicksal out.
