"Where have you been, yesterday? You're not in your office." Rydel asked.
"Pumunta ka sa office ko? What time? Nagpunta kasi ako kahapon kay Doctor Fuentes."
"You did? Why? May problema ba sa'yo?" Nag-aalalang tanong nito sa akin. I have this feeling that I shouldn't tell him that Gray has been in my mind since Cvonzen's party.
"No, of course nothing happens. I just asked him a few things."
"Okay." Hindi na pinili ng kapatid ko ang magtanong pa kung bakit. Rydell is always like that. He's overprotective when it comes to me and Bria.
The whole family ate breakfast together. Except for ate Bria who's currently in their own house.
"How are you, Ryl? How's your job?" Papa asked.
Bigla akong napatingin sa kanya. "Huh?"
"Is everything okay to you? Wala ka bang problema?"
I smiled, "Of course, papa. Wala naman. The restaurant's doing fine, and someone at the party that I attended last time praised me. They told me to visit their country if I have a time."
Ngumiti ang dalawa. "That's good, Ryl. We're so proud of you, anak. Huwag kang tumulad sa kakambal mong puro babae lang inaatupag."
"Excuse me, dad?" Humagalpak ako ng tawa nang makita ang nakasimangot na mukha ng kakambal ko.
"Pa, he's actually serious right now, I think. Feeling ko seryoso na siya sa girlfriend niya today. Ano nga ulit pangalan nun, kuya? Naha?" I mocked him.
"Shut up, Ryl! I'm not serious about her." Seryosong sabi nito.
"Ah, kaya pala. Siguro nga. Kasi kahapon, nung pauwi na ako galing sa hospital nakita ko siyang kumakain sa Jollibee with a guy. I think they're dating yesterday."
"What?!" Pulang-pula na ang mukha ng kakambal ko pero pigil na pigil ko lang ang tawa ko. You're not serious, huh? Why do I sense jealousy from you, Rydel Zeus?
"Stop it, you two. Kumain na kayo." Sambit ni Mommy. "And Rydel, son, you have to be at least serious. Huwag kang puro laro lang, okay? Hindi laro ang pag-ibig, anak."
"Mom, I know." Napakamot sa ulo ang kapatid.
We finished our breakfast and then all of us went to their own jobs. Rydel is now currently the CEO of dad's company. Mas pinili ni Daddy na magretiro ng maaga upang mas mahasa pa ang kakayahan ni Rydel sa negosyo. And that's what Rydel also wants. We were actually both asked by our parents if whose interested in the company. But I chose to build my own. A restaurant that I had been wanting for.
Our parents both went to ate Bria's house. She decided to buy a house with her husband. Malapit lang naman sa amin kaya madali lang nilang mararating iyon.
Nang papasok na ako sa entrance ay may nakita siyang isang bulto sa gilid. It's a guy. Nakatalikod ito at tila may hinihintay. I draw near him. "Ahm, excuse me?" Lumingon pabalik ang lalaki at nanlaki ang mata ko nang makita kung sino ito. "What are you doing here?" Taka kong tanong.
"Hi! Good morning, sunshine!" Napakalaki ng ngisi ng lalaki sa akin na halos kita na ang pitong ngipin nito sa itaas.
"Answer my question, Mr. Gray. Hindi ko matandaan na may appointment ako with anyone today." Mataray kong sambit habang nakataas ang isang kilay.
"Ah, yes, wala akong appointment sa'yo. I'm here to... ask you for a lunch."
"What?" Napakunot ang noo ko. "Are you serious right now? Why? Are we close?" She raised her brow.
