Demi layed alone in her hotel room, her eyes still burning from the events that happened earlier. She broke up with Chris and now, she was clearly starting to regret her decision. Her career was starting to take off and in her mind, worrying about Chris all the time would just set her back. She loved Chris, she cared about Chris, but she could always find another boyfriend....right?

Her phone rang on the nightstand besides her bed, catching her attention. She picked it up, looking at the caller I'd.

Chris....

She fumbled her phone, almost hanging up the damn thing. Demi gathered herself, rubbing her eyes before answering his Call.

"H-hello?" She asks

"Tell me that this a joke...please." Chris says, clearly out of breath.

"Where are you, we need to talk for real Chris."

"I'm in room 315, on the third floor. Are you coming here or am I going to you?"

"I'll be there in 15 minutes."

She went into the bathroom, washing her face, she wanted to look presentable to the man. Her eyes were red, she had been crying before he called her. Mentioning his name might send her over the edge but, she had to talk to him. She wanted to hug him and tell him that it was a mistake, all of it was.

A knock at the door took her out of the trance she was in. Grmetting to the door in record speed, opening it revealed Chris. He looked tired, indicated by his eyes. She moved aside, ushering for the man to enter the room.

He leaned his frame against the wall as Demi sat on the bed. The air was tight, clearly neither one of them wanted to progress on this uncomfortable journey.

"Chris i-" She says before he jumps in. "No Demi, just no." He responds cold. "Like what the hell are you thinking right now? Seriously, am I holding you back in some sort of capacity? Because if that's the case...ill-ill fucking leave."

She could tell that the words he had just uttered hurt him immensely. There was no way of getting out of this, no matter how desperately she wanted to.

"Listen, you aren't on the road with me as often as you should. Am I supposed to just see you two times a month and think everything's OK? Sure you're on the road now and all, and that's great but what happened when you got hurt or when you're little Episode happened? It only derailed my momentum and push, all because of you're failure to stay healthy."

"I can't believe what I'm hearing right now from you. You're the one who helped me and now you're throwing back in my fucking face like I wanted to be hurt."

"Yeah well I doubt you questioned how I was doing during this time. I put everything I had on hold for you and look at me now."

"All I hear coming out that big mouth of you is Me this and Me that. God you're so fucking selfish Rhea."

"My names not R-"

"I dont give a fuck what you'r name is at this point. You care more about fake titles than the person you claim to love."

"Fuck you Chris, why the fuck did I ever fall for a fucking coward like you. All you do is bitch and moan about nothing!"

"Yeah I'm such a coward huh, how about you. You just break up with me because you think you're better than me, like I'm nothing more than a piece of meat you can fuck and suck. After that, you throw me to the dogs and expect me to be here for you mentally and emotionally. News flash bitch, I have my own issues, but you don't see me breaking up with you."

He clutched his fists, turning away from Rhea as she wiped a tear from her cheek. They both had strong words to say, but she wasn't sure if he truely meant all of that. Then again did it really matter, he still fucking had the balls to say it? Yeah her career is her baby, the one true love that would allow her to provide for herself and the family she loves dearly.

Maybe her reaction to Chris is too rough but it didn't seem like he gave two bucks about her career. The memories they had were strong but being champion and domination meant that much more to her. Chris would never understand her mindset. Right now he's a floater, he hasn't done shit to improve or move up. He's a loser right now, not stepping up to the plate and running free in Nxt.

She got up the bed, walking to the other side of the room, looking outside to the city below. Footsteps moving towards her indicated Chris joined her side.

"You know what, you're right about me." He says, rubbing his eyes and shrugging his shoulders. She looked at him as he looked out the window avoiding any sort of eye contact.

"What're you talking about?" She says, brushing her hair with a nearby brush. He faces her now, a cheeky little smile now formed across his face.

"I am holding you back. You're right, I have no drive or passion for wrestling, at least not as much as you do." He replies, turning away from her making his way towards the door. She didn't say a word as he turned the door nob opening the door slightly. He turned his head to see her. "Have a good life Rhea, enjoy it."

And with that, the love of her life walked out the door, leaving her alone again. But unlike before when she was an emotional wreck, instead now she felt nothing. Not nothing as in dead but just incredibly nothing. She lays down upon her bed, pulling the covers up her body as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

It's about time the destractions medicate themselves.
