Chapter 118-Who deserves forgiveness?

Start from the beginning

If she would've acted selfish and taken the huge leap, probably she would've been happy with Akash but that would degraded her friendship with Kriti which she never wanted, so she chose friendship over love.

She was torn between the two but kept her friend's happiness over hers.

She was disappointed with both but decided to keep her disappointment to herself.

When she saw Akash after a long and tiring one and half years of wait, she was elated.

It all felt like a dream for her but even if it was a dream, she was happy.

Just for once, couldn't life give her what she ardently wanted...no..not wanted...needed like oxygen is needed to live and stay alive.

Akash...that's what she always wanted.

Couldn't life for once just smile at her and give her what she wanted...without struggles, without interruptions?

Was it too much to ask for? Just the presence of her love...all her life?

These were the only thoughts roaming in her mind when she was away from both of them.

She was still indulged in these thoughts when she heard faint voice of people talking in the other room.

Taking a deep breath, she stood up from the bed and made her way to the living room.

The only relief was that...the lights everywhere were dim.

"Do you think we should come around her?" she heard another male voice.

"I..I don't know" she heard Akash's voice.

"I should've never left her. I am really regretting leaving her before marriage. I should've never taken such an impulsive decision" she heard another female voice.

Although she recognized every voice, was she ready to face all of them?

Though she was disappointed with both her best friend and lover, the only thought crossing her mind was-what if her best friend would be disgusted of her?

After all, which girl from a reputed family would like to remain friends with someone like her who had been called names and probably still is by her ex-colleagues?

What she didn't understand was that that she had already been tightly gripped with inferiority complex which was resurfacing now.

"I don't think that's your fault" she heard Akash say to Kriti.

She was just a silent spectator till now, listening to their conversation while standing in a corner, hiding behind the beautiful curtains of the bedroom's door.

"Of course bhaiya, I know you would never blame me but will I ever be able to face her knowing very well that somewhere I was the reason she had to suffer so much. If only, I had stayed till her marriage the first thing I would've done was file her resignation and bring her here, to you" Kriti said.

Siya leaned her head on the wall and taking deep breaths, closed her eyes, listening to all the conversation.

She was a little skeptical whether to face them or not.

If it would've been only Akash, she would've probably gone and sat beside him because she knew Akash didn't judge him or why would he still take care of her like she's a porcelain doll.

But could she say the same about Sid and Kriti?

They had once been very close but was the situation same like it was before? Same like before everything fell apart in her life?
