The Unspoken Poet #16 :

Unprecedented shame

May take a body by force

As not all unwritten rules

Happen to be par for the course

The poet thought he knew what to do

He conjured up a plan

He wrote it out in thousands of words

That he till then kept to himself

He'd take a gamble and speak aloud

One time only he'd be unbound

Make or break were the terms

On which he thought he could confirm

Wether mind and matter do concern

The positive distortion of his soul

To take their rightfull place in life

One must earn their colours

By partaking in ventures that might not seem right

To the glance of the first

But onlookers may say a lot

In the aftermath usually all seems wrong

It may take the man a day

To get down to the point

But he'll get there anyway

As he's dedicated to his cause

So then and there he took up arms

And suited himself with confidence

He marched from his backtown home

Into the unknown providence

Where she sat playing music near the trees

Maintaining balance skillfully

As she crossed a river atop tumbled trees

Playing music to keep up continuïty

He followed swimming after her

As the river beat down upon him

He ventured up the stream

Called out to her so she'd turn round

As he pulled himself out of the water

The resonating sound of his voice

A shackle to the matter

The world grows darker every day

But yellow lights make way for dawn

They pave the road for glorious songs

As some prove their might

In the silent echo of the night
