the school day went by in a blur and before valeria knew it she was walking with danny to the parking lot. "we still on for tonight?" he asked.
"of coarse. i'm so excited, already got my dress and everything."
"yeah? what color is it?" he asked so he could know if he could color coordinate. "it's brown. simple but classy."
valeria furrowed her eyebrows seeing ruby and jamal hiding behind a corner. "what the hell are you two doing?"
jamal and ruby jumped at the same time, "oh? it's just you." they both sighed in relief and looked back at the bmw parked in front of the school.
"i think jasmine's cheating on me."
"didn't y'all break up?" daniel asked.
jamal patted daniel's shoulder. "exactly what i'm saying. see, ruby you're acting crazy. she can't cheat on you if you guys broke up and we don't know if it's a guy in the car."
daniel looked down at his shoulder. "never touch me."
"all right." jamal quickly removed his hand and looked down.
"a bmw is a man's car everyone knows that!" he exclaimed.
valeria rolled her eyes, "the both of you are idiots." she shook her head and pulled danny's hand starting to walk away from them.
"no! i didn't mean it like that. i'm a feminist you know." ruby called out.
"still can't believe you dated that dude."
valeria shrugged with a small laugh. "me neither."

valeria sat in front of her vanity and used her fluffy blush to stroke her cheekbones. she hummed a tune in her head as she stood up from her chair to make sure she had everything.
