The vampire couldn't help but pace back and forth in her room of the pack loft, her head swirling with questions, feelings.

She'd been missing Lydia so much. She hadn't been able to speak to her since the night she was strangled by Jennifer and nearly sacrificed. To say that Gwen was worried about her was an understatement.

Besides missing her supernatural Juliet, Gwen couldn't stop thinking about about the day she met Deucalion, how the circumstances always felt strange about how the coven that was after her was able to find her. She knew how to hide from witches, especially after her history, she should've never been found.

"You're thinking about what Morrell said, right?" Gwen heard a voice from behind her.

"Could knock, ya know?" Gwen sassed, still not stopping in her stride back in forth in front of her desk.

"I'm asking because I've been thinking about it too. What if she was right? What if Deucalion has been lying about the circumstances, of everything, this entire time."

"What if, Ethan? What do we do then? We all owe something to him regardless of if he lied to get us into his pack."

"But maybe we stop him. Scott is with his pack right now, and if we join their side, we can put an end to Deucalion for good."

"You're thinking like an idiot, Ethan. You remember everything he's done to us, everything he's shown us he's capable of if we cross him-"

"Do you really think he'll just stop at taking Scott? Once he's killed Jennifer, he will force Scott to kill everyone he loves, and if he doesn't then Deucalion will kill them himself. That means Lydia." Ethan stressed, and Gwen couldn't help but tense. Deep down she knew Ethan was right.

Deucalion had done it time and time again, forced all of them to kill their own packs, their own friends, in order to gain his allegiance, his trust. Why was Gwen so afraid of him? Before she met him, she was never afraid of anything. Wasn't afraid of hunters, wasn't afraid of political witches, and certainly not afraid of blind werewolves.

"Whatever you decide, i can't stand by and watch him try to kill Danny." Ethan reasoned, a slight tremble in his voice at the thought. He turned to leave the room, but Gwen sped to him quickly, grabbing his arm and putting a finger to her lips.

He looked at her confused, but she only closed the door softly, trying not to gain the others' attention.

"If you're going to help them, you go warn Derek about Kali, I'll go get help from Lydia."
