"Hala ang scarf ko.” She was panicking.

I bought one and wrote her initials on it. Paiyak na siya nang makarating ako.

“Sorry Che.” Mia apologize for no reason. I don’t know what to do so just hand her the scarf I bought.

“Here.”

“Hala san mo nakita to? Thank you.” She thanked me with hopeful eyes. She look so fragile.

“In canteen.” I lied of course and my conscience is not ok with it so I just left without a word.

I saw Luis trying chase someone. My forehead creases when I found out it was Crystal.

“Bakit kaya nag papanggap si Crystal na di tayo kilala. Parang di naman friends noon ah!” Simon complained. “Ano siningil ka sa utang mo?” Simon ask Luis. Pabagsak kasi siyang umupo sa tabi namin.


“Tangina ayaw nya na daw sa'tin! Kala mo naman di tayo nag kopyahan sa MTAP noon!” Reklamo ni Luis. I just scoff in disbelief. I mean we’re friends! We were team in our elementary days!

“Baka may rason.” Sabi ni Simon. I just shrugged showing none interest in her excuses or what.

It’s our last day and we’re trying to light up the situation. I noticed Crystal’s behavior too so. It was all good not until we feel someone’s presence.


“Girlfriend mo bro?” Luis asked Simon. I frowned. This is not their usual reaction to girls so I look up and it was Cherish.

“No, she’s mine.” I stood up and drag Cherish away from them. Dinala ko sya sa backstage for privacy.

I raised my one eyebrow because I’m not in the mood to fool around. She awkwardly smiled at me so I have to hold my amusement face.

“Uhm last day na to. Gusto ko lang sabihin na sana di na kita makita ulit.” She looked away. Ano bang sinabi ni Crystal sa kanya?

“Why?” I asked and held her chin to look at me. If tungkol to kay Crystal or Mia di'ko alam kung anong masasabi ko sa kanila. I just feel betrayed!

“Ayoko na kitang makita dahil inaasar ako ng mga kaibigan ko di ako sanay sana maintindihan mo.” She answered me while trying to lash my hands.

“Don’t listen to them. Easy.” I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Napaka babaw niya. I don’t judge or invalidate her feelings but for me it’s too shallow. A deeper excuse please?

"No, it's not that easy. Basta ayoko na kitang makita at saka di tayo para sa isa't isa." She answered before trying to walk away but i held her in place and hugged her. Last day na di'ba? Sulitin na!

I rested my chin in top of her head trying to rest. I closed my eyes in satisfaction and comfort. I let go dahil pakiramdam ko di'ko na siya mabibitawan. I don't want my friends to tease me pero kung kay Cherish then why not?

"Anong zodiac mo?" She asked.

"Secret." Sagot ko sa kanya at ngumiti.

"Ah Scorpio." Sabi niya and acted like solving a hard question in her exam. "Di talaga tayo bagay." Dagdag niya at umalis na.

"See you again Miss zodiac!" Sigaw ko. I laughed when she covered her ears in annoyance.

"Mom i want to transfer in North i just need your permission." I told my mom about my plans. I excuses na mas maganda mag Senior doon. I just want to enjoy there and of course to meet Cherish.

I know she would agree because Simon and Luis are coming with me. Magkaiba nga lang ang school but at least magkatabi lang ang nirerentahan namin.
