15 - Midnight (Technically 3am) Feast

Yuta was right about Chenle coming in at 3am, but he wasn't alone. Accompanied by Haechan and Shotaro, which I wasn't expecting, they stomped into the base and proceeded to shout loudly. Well, Chenle and Haechan did; Shotaro spoke softly onto his phone and put the translating app on full volume (so technically he was also shouting). I have no idea how they managed to get here considering the restaurant door was probably locked (which they probably picked at) and had to disable the alarms (though knowing Haechan a little, it was not a problem).

I was a light sleeper so I woke up instantly at the sound of heavy footsteps down the stairs. Renjun shifted a little, groaned, put the pillow on top of his head and I presumed he fell asleep again. Yuta, somehow, was awake way before they came in judging by his wide grin and dark circles under his eyes. Actually, did this man ever sleep?

"Hey, Yuta!" Haechan opened the door and threw himself onto his bed. Chenle came onto mine whilst Shotaro sat quietly on an unoccupied bed next to me. "I thought I'd keep you company since I know how much you hate sleeping at night."

"And Chenle and Shotaro are here because...?" Yuta prompted, trying to shove the uninvited man off his personal space.

"I came because I was hungry."

"I TOOK A GUN ACCIDENTALLY." The translating app practically screamed after five seconds. I have no idea why Shotaro quietly spoke but the app had to burst our eardrums when speaking to us.

"Taro, turn it down please." Renjun mumbled sleepily. He seemed to understand because he started to fiddle with his phone.

"Chenle, you have food at home! We went shopping the other day." I pointed out.

"And how do you take a gun accidentally?" Yuta added.

"It's very possible. Lucas managed to take 4 explosive chemicals one day." Haechan answered.

"That's Lucas though."

"Fair point." He shrugged.

"I'm getting food. What do you want to eat?" Shotaro's phone asked at a decent noise level.

"Get some gummy worms and crisps." Chenle suggested.

"Oh, and some cola!" I added. He nodded and left to go find some in the makeshift kitchen/bar. I mean I could have gone with him but that meant crawling out of the warm bed where I was comfortable, so I stayed with the others. Plus, I was still sleepy and I probably looked like I was about to enter a hundred-year sleep soon but I wanted some cola.

"Hey, hey!" Haechan pointed at me. "No sleeping!"

"I'm not!" I protested. "I want cola."

"Well, start acting like it! We're here for a midnight feast, not a sleepover!"

"But it's not midnight?"

"I didn't ask for smart comments. Shut up and wait for Taro to come back." Jeez, 3am Haechan was not to be messed with. Actually, I don't think any time is the right time to mess with him.

Shotaro came back juggling three large packs of crisps and two sharing packs of assorted gummy sweets. He ran after dropping them on Renjun (who did not appreciate it but snuck a crisp packet under his cover) and came back with 7 glasses and a large bottle of cola.

"Why'd you bring 7 glasses?" I asked once Chenle started to pour cola into the glasses.

"It's for Yuta's imaginary friend." Haechan deadpanned. I stared at both of them before everyone started laughing, even Yuta.

"Idiot! I don't have an imaginary friend and I never had!" He shoved Haechan a little too forcefully, causing him to drop his glass and shatter it.

"That's why." Shotaro said. Well, it makes sense.

"Eh, someone will clean it up in the morning." Chenle dismissed the mess on the floor, including some gummy worms that he threw at Renjun, which he didn't react to.

"Probably Jaehyun or Winwin." There were murmurs of agreement.

"And let's pray that Kun doesn't see it." Yuta grinned.

"Well, he'll probably step on it before noticing." Haechan imagined.

We ended up raiding the kitchen a couple more times that night and talking before the early risers started trailing into the base at 6am. The first was Winwin - who did notice us, stole some gumdrops and swept our mess up - and Doyoung. They went to Taeyong's office and we never saw them after that.

At that point, we decided that it was time to sleep (not before Yuta said "sleep is for the weak" then sleeping like a log) and settled down. Since Renjun had slept through most of our adventure, he was fully awake, slightly in pain and ate whatever was leftover from last night (which wasn't much but I think he was alright with it).

And we stayed asleep until the others decided to form a (very loud) band.
