JJs POV
It had been a few days now since we got back from Seattle and it was our first day back in the office. I haven't heard anything from the social worker about Mara so I'm assuming she just hasn't found a foster placement yet. Or the social worker is just refusing to call which is plausible
Emily and I were the first ones to get to the office, all besides Garcia of course the women Practically lives here
Emily and i stopped and got coffee like we usually do in the morning and brought Penelope one as well, what are friends for?
She hasn't mentioned anything about Mara since I asked her to look into a few things for me thank god, I just don't want to keep bringing the girl up
We took the coffee to her and went to walk out of her lair but Emily said she needed to talk to her so I shrugged and walked out alone to be met with Spencer walking in
"Hey Spence" I smile and sit on Emily's desk. I have my own office after being the liaison for so many years the office is still mine
"Hey JJ" he says and puts his bag that he is always carrying next to his desk and sits down
"Where is Emily?" He ask me
"With Penelope" I tell him and look down at my watch to see that I should have been in my office 5 minutes ago
"I need to get to work, I'll talk to you later" I say and walk down to my office so that I could look through some cases sent to me
Emily's POV
After meeting Maya in Seattle and the similarities between her and JJ can't just be a coincidence. Right? And who better to ask then Penelope
"So you want me to find any information of Maya Bishop?" She ask confused and I nod
"Specifically any medical records or anything from her first 2 years of life" I say and she looks at me confused but turns to her computer
"I want details" she says and I chuckle, always Penelope
"I know and you will after I figure everything out" I say and she nods without turning back to me
"And what are you trying to figure out?" She ask
"I can't say. Not yet" I tell her. JJ is going to kill me as soon as she finds out about this
"That's odd." She speaks up
"What?" I ask going to stand behind her chair
"There are no records of a Maya Bishop until her 4 year old vaccines" she explains
"Nothing before that?" I ask
"No but I'll keep looking Hunny bunny" she says and I roll my eyes playfully
"Thank you but it's not necessary" I say and without giving her time to question I walk out and to the bathroom
This means that Maya Bishop could be JJs sister
But how? JJs sister died. It truly makes no sense, and how do I bring this up to JJ
"Em, you okay?" I hear JJ ask
"I know you're in here and you looked upset" she says and I sigh walking out to greet her
"I'm okay I promise" I say and she walks over and presses a kiss against my temple
"I love you," she says and embraces me into a hug
JJs POV
I watched as Emily walked out of Penelopes office and she seems conflicted, I don't know what she could have wanted to talk to Penelope about
And when I asked about she shot it down, I know she will come to me if it's something bad. I hope so at least
Now the entire team was in the conference room going over paperwork
After the case in Seattle we didn't do any paperwork on it yet we all went home for a few days
We like to do paperwork all together on occasion. Change of scenery.
Penelope even joins us sometimes, we had to go over and basically write down everything that happened in Seattle
Halfway through my phone went off with an unknown number and I excused myself and answered the call
"Agent Jareau"
"Hi, it's Maya Bishop. The fire Captain from Seattle"
"Yea of course. Is everything okay?"
"I thought you would want to be updated on Mara. My wife works at the hospital and called to let me know that Mara had been brought in. Mara told Dr.Robbins that she wanted me to find her so that you would come back"
"What's happening with her now?"
"As far as I know a foster home this time"
"Poor girl, I told the social worker to call me"
"She's a piece of work"
"Yea... um thank you Maya. I really appreciate this"
"Anytime"
After I got off the phone I walked to my office and paced back and forth
She ran away from the group home to see me and just got put back in a foster home.
I need to help her but Emily won't agree. Dammit!
I slammed my fist against the desk and sat back in the chair and the door opens And Emily walks in
"Who was that?" She ask and sits on my desk
"Maya, she said that Mara ran away from the group home so she would find her and she could see me" I say tears welling up in my eyes
"Oh jayje" she sighs
"No Emily, please, please can we do this. This is something I need to do" I say and she just doesn't show any emotion
"At least until she finds a place to go that will love her and keep her safe" I say
"We don't have a foster license" she tells me
"We're FBI agents, how hard can. It be? And Penelope said we could get emergency placement" I say hopefully
"Can I think about it? I would like us to sit down and go over everything" she says and I nod
Emily's POV
I really want JJ to be happy and if she truly thinks we can help this girl than I will look into it with her. Also if we go back to Seattle I will be able to get Mayas DNA, to test with JJs to see if they are sisters. And Mrs. Jareau would have a lot of explaining to do
