Bones nodded, ‘that is much in line in what we think happened.’

‘I hope,’ the Dark Lord said with an undercurrent of fury, ‘that you are agreement that this Figg was being paid to ensure that my son was being abused. And if that is the case then she is as responsible as Dumbledore for that!’

Bones sighed, ‘I understand your anger, and yes that is what we think happened.’

‘I assume she is going to be charge with conspiracy for kidnapping, as well,’ Harry’s father said (apparently getting his urge to torture the person who had hurt his son under control).

Amelia raised an eyebrow.

‘I am aware you were searching for a woman wanted in association with the raid on the manor,’ the Dark Lord said darkly. ‘And then two days later you return to question us about Arabella Figg, it is not hard to figure out.’

‘Quite,’ Bones agreed.

‘What I want to know,’ Lucius said darkly. ‘Is how my manor was breached?’

‘It would seem Dumbledore invented a twin-wardborer which allows one to be planted and the other to be activated outside the wards,’ Bones said grimly. ‘It was planted many years ago.’

‘By whom?’ asked Lucius.

‘Arthur Weasley,’ Bones said.

Harry’s heart jumped once more. Mr Weasley had planted the thing that almost got him kidnapped, had almost killed Lucius and Sirius. Sirius was still in a coma in the hospital. Arthur had always been kind to him. Harry had been under the impression that Arthur’s problem was that he had been led astray by his family. But apparently, he was to blame for everything that had happened that dreadful night.

‘Mr. Weasley, why?’ asked Harry.

‘From what he has said, it would seem that he did not know what it was to be used for,’ Bones said.

‘Of course not,’ sneered Lucius. ‘It was just to get back at me. Arthur Weasley has always hated me! His department has been targeting me for years, even tried to blame me for the Chamber of Secrets debacle a few years ago. Somehow, I am not surprised that he felt the need to plant a wardborer so he could break into my home! And worse he used the Ministry to do so!’
