I heard the door open behind me and him saying –That's enough Cameron.- he took my arm and pulled me outside of the room and the last thing I saw was their shocked face.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

House lead me to his office, I stood by the door and he walked to his desk, placing his cane on the table and start rubbing his forehead out of frustration.

He finally looked at me and we locked eyes. I had a few tears slip up so I started to wipe them off and looked to the ground, ashamed of what I said.

-what were you thinking- he asks me with an apologetic face and I shrug.

-I don't even know why I hired you- he says.

-Cuddy is going to breathe down your neck for this. And be lucky if you don't get sued.- he says and sits down. A frustrated sigh came out of his mouth followed by

House - OH that's right... I hired you because you are extremely pretty.-

Cameron: You hired me to get into my pants!?!

House: I can't believe that that would shock you. It's also not what I said. No, I hired you because you look good; it's like having a nice piece of art in the lobby.

Cameron: I was at the top of my class.

House: But not THE top.

Cameron: I did an internship at the Mayo Clinic.

House: Yes, you were a very good applicant.

Cameron: But not the best?

House: Would that upset you, really? To think that you were hired because of some genetic gift of beauty not some genetic gift of intelligence?

Cameron: I worked very hard to get where I am.

House: But you didn't have to. People choose the paths that grant them the greatest rewards for the least amount of effort. That's the law of nature, and you defied it. That's why I hired you. You could have married rich, could have been a model, you could have just shown up and people would have given you stuff. Lots of stuff, but you didn't, you worked your stunning little ass off.

Cameron: Am I supposed to be flattered?

House: Gorgeous women do not go to medical school. Unless they're as damaged as they are beautiful. Were you abused by a family member?

Cameron: No!

House: Sexually assaulted?

Cameron: No.

House: But you are damaged, aren't you?" he said and licked his lips. I gulped hard and wiped the rest of my tears.

Cameron -Is this what matters to you? My dark side? The fact that I'm damaged? Everyone is. It's nothing new. – I say and he watches my every move almost as if he is analyzing me.

House - Maybe.- he says and locks eyes with me once again.

Cameron - why do you care so much?- I ask

House - I don't.-

Cameron -then why are you going above and beyond to find out my problems? I say and hand gesture my confusion

House -....curiosity- he finally said after through a lip shrug. I got mad so I walked over to him and lean on his desk. Our faces were inches apart and I got a closer look at his beautiful ocean blue eyes. I lowered my voice and said

Cameron - Curios or not, you had no business to pry. You got what you wanted so I hope you're happy.- I said and pulled away. I turned to leave and his voice stopped me

House – I never said I was happy.-

I roll my eyes. I turn towards him

Cameron – you sure do like to push people's buttons.-

House -You have beautiful eyes- he says sarcastically but it caught me off guard. I groan and attempt to leave once again. I felt if I stayed there, I would've said something that might've caused me to lose my job.

House -I'll deal with Cuddy. You take the day off.- he says and stands up. I once again look at him with confusion, he grabs his cane and he walks towards me, really close, making our bodies inches apart. –why- I ask. A light smile escapes his lips

House – because I don't need a distracted doctor treating my patients. – he says and walks past me, his body ever so slightly brushed against mine and I could smell his cologne. I was left there speechless until I heard him say

-psst- I turn to see him and he says – you really do have beautiful eyes- followed by a wink.

He left right after he said that, not giving me a chance to reply...as if I had one. i watched him walk away with his cane, leaving me speechless and red.

That man....is something else.
