DAHYUN'S POV
"What happened?"
"I don't know" she answered while looking down
It's been past an hour already and Jeong's still sitting on the sand just staring on the waves coming to the shore. I've decided to just went by her side as she might also need to talk to someone.
"Are you okay?" I bravely asked hoping that she would answer knowing that we're the same, we both don't like to open up and usually just keep it to ourselves
"I'm physically okay but I'm tired thinking of what if's" she answered
"If your what if's are mostly on a positive side that won't exhaust you rather it will motivate you but if you're tired, you must be thinking the other way around"
"You'll have a lot of what if's in your mind if you are regretting something" I added
She just sighed heavily and looked down
"I saw her" she uttered
"What do you mean by that?" I curiously asked
"I saw Nayeon" she responded
"You know I still like her right? Even after hating her for all the things that she have done, I can't refrain myself from liking her"
"I saw her..."
" ...But it was just my hallucination" she stated
Tears started falling from her eyes that she quickly started to wipe it with her shirt
"It is okay to cry, Jeong" I told her
"I'm sorry— I badly miss her"
I just nodded then moved closer to her to give her my hanky
"Tell Chaeyoung I'm sorry, you can go now, I'll just follow"
I nodded then smiled at her.
I started walking back to the beach house and met Chaeyoung on the way. She must be walking towards Jeongyeon
"Is she okay?" She asked me
"Perhaps but she needs more time to be alone" I answered
"Oh alright. I'm supposedly gonna be asking her to come and join us but I guess we'll just wait for her" Chaeng stated
"Yeah" I responded
"Anyway, she wanted to say sorry for ruining Mina's surprise earlier" I told her
"She did not ruined anything. I'll just talk to her later" Chaeyoung stated
"The girls are already waiting. Jihyo grilled a pork belly" She then added
"Really? Then let's go. I'm hungry" I heard Jeong say while walking towards us.
Chaeyoung simply smiled at her then nodded
"I'm really sorry, Chaeng" Jeong said then quickly put her arms on Chaeyoung's shoulder
"That's fine. It's not a big deal though" Chaeng answered
"There you go~ the no jam brothers" I stated that made both of them started laughing
"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WAITING?!!" Jihyo shouted from a distance
"YOU GUYS NEED TO HURRY! MOMO'S BEEN EATING THE PORK BELLY!!" Sana also shouted
We just laughed at them and started walking back again to probably formally start the celebration for Chaeng's birthday
"Hey! Can you walk faster? Is it really a problem to have a short legs?" Chaeyoung asked me as I'm walking behind them
"Really Chaeyoung? You're shorter than mine!" I rebutted
"I'm not informed about that. I only knew that you are always wearing a high sole shoes" she responded while giggling
"We'll measure our heights later" I stated then smirked.
