Babysitter Hinata (little Neji)

Hinatas pov

I was walking back to my room when I heard soft crying coming from nejis room. That's odd I've never heard neji cry before. Me and neji don't get along but I should at least make sure he's ok.

I peaked in to see neji with the blankets over his head while muffled sobs escaped him. What's going on?

"nii-chan? Are you ok?" I asked timidly.

"hina!"

he threw the blankets off and hugged me. I let out a yelp. I couldn't help but be surprised. This has never happened before!

"hina I'm scwared. Dwon't let uwncal get me" he sobbed in a babyish voice.

My eyes softened. He sounded so scared.

"shhh neji it's alright" I said gently stroking his hair "I won't let anyone hurt you" I remember how he said those exact same words to me so many years ago. Back when we used to get along. He promised to protect me. Now it's my turn to protect him.

"mmm me sweepy" he muttered as he lay sleepily against me.

I gently led him to his bed and lay him down. He fell asleep while hugging my arm. I ran my fingers through his hair. Poor neji. He must be really sick to be acting like a child. The Hyuga clan won't accept him if they find out about this. They might even kick him out.

It's up to me to protect him!

(BTW this is not a ship. They are cousins that is gross! I'd think that's obvious but I've seen one too many neji x hinata fanfics so I figured I should make it clear)
