Were those...wings?

"Um, yes?"

The wings faded into thin air just as miraculously as they had appeared.

"I knew it!"

Chuckling Gloria raised an eyebrow.

"You're not human are you." He'd questioned it a while ago.

The three were too awe-inspiring, too wonderful to be human.

"Pfft, Of course, I'm human." Gloria laughed.

"But how come-"

"You don't need to know." She teased.

William smiled. It was easy to relax around her.

She still glowed and he was trying his best not to freak out.

The water was very clean and clear, so clear that one could see its depths.

He chanced a look at Gloria again and a million thoughts ran through his head.

He knew that the end could be at any moment and he knew the implication of that. Not only would they face a nearly insurmountable foe but he was curious about the hereafter.

"Do you get scared?"

His eyes widened. He couldn't believe he'd blurted out the question.

"I'm sorry, stupid question." His cheeks felt warm from embarrassment.

"Why are you sorry?" He looked at her and saw that she was looking at him as well.

"Occasionally in the past, when I was young."

"Huh?" William didn't understand.

"I used to get scared sometimes."

There was silence for a few seconds before she broke it.

"I wonder how Jesus felt in those last few hours." He heard her whisper staring into the water.

He watched as a smile broke out on her face.

"I'm anxious to see Father again. But first, some things must be done. There are still people like you down there Will."

His eyes widened. His heart stuttered.

She got down from the rock and her skin became fair again.

William could feel it, it was what pulled him here.

He couldn't explain it, there was this aura, this light.

It was safe to say that this woman was beyond him. She was extraordinary.

She was beautiful too.

William looked away.

She was about to enter the river when William's voice stopped her.

"What's going to happen to Fil?" She froze.

Gloria turned to him and William's heart shuttered when he saw a look of sadness cross her face, albeit very briefly.

"What happens to all rebellious angels, demons, spirits and humans." A tear left her lid before she turned around and left, her gown flowing enthrallingly after her.

He didn't know what to say. He was shocked.

Why would she cry for them? William pondered.

'Because she possesses the heart of the Father and it cries as well.'
