Sunshine Again

Lucy woke up feeling warm and comfortable, Natsu's scarf still around her neck she sighed happily before opening her eyes she was in her apartment and smiled. She went to roll onto her back and stretch but a weight across her waist stopped her. She looked down to see Natsu's arm, Lucy smiled she couldn't help but be happy he was safe. She moved his arm carefully to turn over to see him placing it back over her waist. The sun shines through the window casting a glow across him, Natsu slept peacefully in a position where he wasn't snoring like a maniac he was handsome. His hair laying messily across his forehead his lips slightly parted the tips of his fangs peeking through. The small scars that dotted across his skin were alluring each one had a story. Lucy placed a finger on his bottom lip and lightly traced it before his lips planted a small kiss on her finger. She looked up to meet his eyes she would have gasped at the intensity if she could but her breath had been stolen. His hand that had been on her waist moved to her face his thumb brushing the bottom of her lip this time.
Lucy could have stayed like this forever but Natsu caught her eyes again through the messy hair and whispered
"Can I kiss you?" Lucy could only respond with a small shake of her head.

Natsu was terrified and nervous he gulped down the fear he held after the nod of yes and leaned forward ever so slightly and Lucy closed her eyes waiting. Natsu followed his instincts closing his eyes he planted his lips against hers. Instinctively he pulled her closer to him and he was pleasantly surprised with the small moan that came from Lucy, he smiled ever so slightly and used a bit more pressure into their kiss before breaking it wanting to leave her with a pleasant experience and as to not overwhelm her. But in truth it was so Natsu wasn't so overwhelmed, internally he was screaming madly about the softness of Lucy's lips and he couldn't help but run his tongue over his own after breaking from her lips. Suddenly he had a whole other reason to scream inside when his body betrayed him and he lit up red in seconds and Lucy was so close he had to scoot away and escape. Lucy opened her eyes her face slightly red as well, she kept her eyes away from his face nervous and shy now but she dared to glance up at a bright red Natsu. She laughed out loud causing Natsu to sit up and fluster
"Ah I'm sorry was it bad? It was bad, wasn't it? I shouldn't have asked I'm sorry!!"
This caused Lucy to laugh harder but she caught her breath
"No Natsu it was perfect and sweet, thank you" she admitted her confidence-boosting seeing the unsure flustered man before her. She sat up as well and planted a small kiss on his cheek, she stood up and stretched.
"Guess I will start on breakfast," she said before the pounding on the door began. Natsu groaned and flopped back down into the bed and laid his arm over his face
"Levy" he spat out in disdain. Of course, someone would have to ruin his perfect alone time with his mate. Natsu frowned That's right Lucy is my mate, shouldn't I be all freaked out and growling...

Lucy groaned internally she didn't want visitors she just wanted to be alone with Natsu; finally making progress in their new relationship that needed to develop, on top of just talking out all the traumatic stuff that just happened. She swung open the door and looked out furiously over Levy
"What!" She shouted, shocking even Lucy. Levy looked shocked and took a step back
"Oh my god, Levy I am so sorry. I guess I must still be tired please come in." Lucy tried. Levy relaxed and stepped in
"I wanted to come by to check on you, you were really drained yesterday. Seems you are doing better now though I brought breakfast" with that Natsu stepped into the room
"Did I hear the word breakfast?" He asked. Levy only nodded and the three of them gathered around the table. She had brought a meal for an army which was good considering Natsu's stomach was a black hole. Lucy and Levy talked a little while about how the two of them were feeling before she made her exit.
"I better get going Gajeel is waiting on me, he thought it was best to wait outside considering you and Natsu haven't completed the dragon mating yet, and after Natsu coming out of such an ordeal he figured he would be very protective. But if you need anything don't hesitate." Levy lectured
"Of course Levy, I will see you later" Lucy replied before shutting the door after a final wave of goodbye. She sighed heavily
"I thought she would never leave" Natsu perked up at this
"Are you okay Lucy ?" He asked Lucy nodded yes and approached him but from Natsu's perspective, she was more like stalking her prey. Then her eyes began to glow golden
"I want to be alone with My Mate after all" she spoke leaving the emphasis on mate. Natsu frowned this was unlike his Lucy, her eyes glowed a little brighter and suddenly she herself began to glow she moved towards Natsu her hands catching fire.
"LUCY STOP!" Natsu yelled as he got up he ran toward her placing his hands on her shoulders. Lucy had time to glance at her hands and gasped. Just as Natsu touched her everything stopped
"Natsu what is going on!?" She panicked looking back at her hands and to the very confused looking Natsu.
"I don't know Lucy"
