Luke's P.O.V
"We need to go back to school." Bella said out of the blue.
I almost choked on the food I had in my mouth. "Why? If you want random stares, being questioned by teachers and the principal then be my guest."
She sighed, putting her elbows on the counter and placing her chin on her hands. "Luke, we can be arrested for wagging. We are both ruining our futures."
"I know that." I groaned.
We were both silent for a moment before I spoke up. "Let's drop out."
My words caught her off guard. "What?"
"Let's drop out of school."
She shook her head. "For me, that impossible. For you it's not."
"How is it impossible for you?"
"Our parent's need to give concent. Besides, I want a career Luke. Not some stupid part time job."
"Ask your dad for consent?" I said immediately regretting it.
I watched her as she tensed and tears started to brim her eyes. She still has no idea that her father is alive, I think I'm the only one to know now...
"I would Luke." She said. "If I fucking had one." She spat before grabbing her bag and walking away.
"Bella!" I yelled, running after her.
"Can't I just walk alone? I don't need you to baby sit me." She said harshly before walking out the door.
I huffed as I watched her walk away. As she was out of sight, I grabbed my jacket before heading out myself. After walking for a few minutes I reached a familiar house and took a deep breath before walked up to the door and knocking. It took a few minutes before Bella's father came and opened the door.
"What do you want?" He spat.
"Why hello to you too sir." I said mockingly before shoving my way past.
"How's Bella?" He asked with no emotion.
"Good, she just went out."
"Well when is she coming back? I want to see my daughter."
I took a seat on a lonely chair that was located in the middle of the lounge.
"I think it's best that you keep a low profile, only letting me know that you are actually still alive."
Her father shook his head. "You can't tell me what to do."
"I'm not telling you. I'm asking. If you let me explain, you'll understand why."
He groaned before taking a seat on the couch and nodded for me to go on.
Bella's P.O.V
I need to stop getting mad at Luke. He was just trying to help and forgot that my dad died... I wiped the tears that had falled, off of my face.
"I have got to stop crying." I muttered.
As I finished wiping my face, I felt someone's hand cover my face as I was dragged into someone's car. I tried to scream but when the door was closed the person turned me around. When I saw who it was I started to shake.
"Bella listen please." Calum said.
"Leave me alone Calum." I spat, pulling on the door handle before realising Calum locked the car from the inside aswell. "Please, just let me go." I whimpered.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Bella I want to help."
The way he said it seemed sincere. "What makes you think that I'm going to trust you? I mean you're an asshole, and you betrayed me in a way." I started off, trying to not cry. "I knew we weren't close, or not so much friends but you at the bottom of my to kill Bella list. I never would have thought you would be capable of that."
"I'm so sorry, I regret everything and I would take it all back if I could. But, when your mom told me that she'll give me money I -"
"My mom offered you money?"
He nodded slowly. I groaned. "This will never end will it?" I muttered wiping tears that was falling down my cheeks.
"We can make it."
"We?"
"You, me, Luke, Kayla and Michael. Five against one."
I shook my head. "For all I know, you could be plotting my death with my mom. Or you could be plotting it on your own. Calum you killed Kate, I or anyone else could be your next victim."
"Kate was trying to kill you! At first I thought your mom wanted me to kill her so you would be safe, the thought of her wanting to kill you herself never crossed my mind. I am so so sorry Bella."
I didn't say a word and tried the door again. "Let me out, or forget forgiveness." I spat.
He listened to me and leaned over the front to unlock the doors. Once unlocked I opened the door instantly and hopped out, letting out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.
"Bella. Just remember that I am now apart of this mess too, and can't get out of it." Calum said.
"Well find a way, because judging from your past... I can't trust you."
With that, I held my head high and walked away trying to keep my screams and tears inside of me.
