Hermione's POV
I held Draco's hand as we descended the stairs to the Astronomy Tower, we had no idea this would change our lives forever
I let go of his hand when we made it to the top, not wanting to seem like we were nervous or anything.
Both of us pointed our wands at our headmaster, whose expression didn't change, as if he knew we were coming
"Good evening, what brings you here on this fine spring evening?" you know exactly why we came
"who else is here? We heard you talking" I demanded, I have to make it seem as if I didn't know exactly what just happened
"I often talk aloud to myself, I find it extraordinarily useful... have you been whispering to yourselves?" I glanced at Draco, confused, then fixed my posture, to look more confident and looked back at Dumbledore "Draco, Hermione, you are no assassins" but, sadly, we have to be
"how do you know what I am?" Draco shouted
"we've done things that would shock you" I tried sounding evil, it didn't work, im bad at this
"like cursing Katie Bell and hoping that in return she'd bear a cursed necklace to me? Like cursing madam Rosmerta to give professor slug horn mead laced with poison? Forgive me, I cannot help feeling these actions are so weak that your hearts cant really be in them"
"he trusts us"
"We were chosen" I lifted up my left arm sleeve to reveal the most disgusting tattoo I'd ever seen, I wasn't chosen, no, I was forced, but chosen sounds much better than 'I was forced'
"I shall make it easy for you" he raised his arms in surrender
"Expelliarmus!" Draco shouted
"the wand belonged to Draco, not you"
Dumbledore's wand was on the floor
"very good, very good"
we were both trembling at this point. I heard a door open and close in the distance
"you're not alone, there are others, how?"
"the vanishing cabinet in the room of requirement. We've been mending it" for ages, you've no idea how long it takes
"let me guess, it has a sister. A twin"

"in Borgin and burkes. They form a passage" and I wish they didn't
"ingenious... years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices"
"We know this" I muttered
"Please let me help you" no
"I don't want your help, don't you understand? we have to do this, we have to kill you... or he's gonna kill her" I glanced at Draco, had the Dark Lord told Draco that he would kill me if he didn't do it just as he told me he would kill Draco if I didn't?
I heard everyone rushing up the stairs
"well... look what we have here" Bellatrix announced when she reached the top, the rest behind her "well-done children" I was disgusted by her, and by the looks of it, Draco is too
"good evening Bellatrix, I think introductions are in order, don't you?" how is he so calm when he knows he's gonna die?
"love to, Albus, but I'm afraid we're all on a bit of a tight schedule" she just loves taunting people, actually, she loves torture more, but this definitely comes a close second
Parkinson writhing on the floor in pain
"do it!" she whisper-shouted at us
"she doesn't have the stomach, just like her brother"
it took all my strength not to turn and kill Yaxley instead, I felt a tear fall
"let me finish him in my own way" Fenrir I swear to merlin
"no! the Dark Lord was clear; they have to do it, together.... This is your moment, do it... go on children NOW!" My wand was pointing at him, the curse on my tongue and tears on my face

I turned to look for the owner of the voice, I've hated this man for years but if he saves me from doing this I might just hate him a little less.
Dumbledore looked down, I followed his gaze and found Potter on the floor beneath us, I'm no snitch
"Severus..." Dumbledore seemed to click "please"
he waited a few seconds before baffling all of us
"Avada Kedavra"
he fell

After Bellatrix, being Bellatrix, screeched and threw the dark mark in the air, Snape rushed me and Draco down the stairs

Fenrir attacked a Hufflepuff student on the way

I heard Wren scream at me when she saw me "HERMIONE WHATS GOING ON?"

"I'm sorry Wren" I whispered in her ear as I gave her a quick hug before Yaxley pulled me away.
I heard her shouting at me to get me to turn back, I cant now, not after what just happened
My head spinning and my mind racing, we're all running through the woods, trying to get far enough away from Hogwarts to be able to apparate.
We finally got to Hagrid's hut, Bellatrix set fire to it
where we danced in the rain
potter had been chasing us all the way and now caught up to us
"go on!" Snape shouted to Draco, he grabbed my hand and pulled me along
"Sectumsempra!" Snape shielded himself from it and Potter flew back, Snape strutted toward him "you dare use my own spells against me, Potter? Yes... I'm the Half-Blood Prince"
he kicked Potters wand away and turned, following us

'if you cannot be who someone wants you to be, fake it' that's a quote I read a few months ago, a quote I live by. it means if you are supposed to be sad, or happy, but you're not, pretend to be and if you're a good enough actor/actress, they'll believe it.
